January 2020
Dear NCHS Family,

Welcome to a new year! I hope everyone had a restful break and enjoyed the holidays. The start of school, after a significant break, always provides a good opportunity to re-establish a focus on learning. New Canaan High School is excited to begin the second half of the school year. As we ring in the new year, we see this as an opportunity to check in with students and families to ensure that our students are on-track, prepared and ready for the second half of the year. Please remember that we are about two weeks away from exams and three weeks away from the start of a new semester and that any time spent to complete assignments and on structured study will pay off at the end of this semester.

I look forward to a rewarding year in 2020. I wish you all personal, academic and professional happiness. Thank you to our faculty and staff for making our school an exciting and dynamic place to learn.

We are happy to share that an endowed scholarship has been anonymously donated in honor of New Canaan’s Wrestling coach, Paul Gallo! His dedication and commitment to the school and sport are legendary. NCHS Scholarship Foundation (NCSF) represents a broad-based community effort to provide financial aid to deserving NCHS graduates who are pursuing higher education at the undergraduate level. There are several ways and levels to give, please visit  NCSF for more information and consider donating to provide scholarships for higher education to our 2020 graduates and beyond.

Wishing you all the very best in 2020!
