Welcome 2020!
United Way of Dubuque Area Tri-States (UWDATS) Over the past 5 years, United Way transitioned from a traditional funding model to Community Impact. Our United Way network of funded partners has grown over this transition.
The Community Impact Fund is an full competitive grant open to any local nonprofit program within our 10-county service area who is able to impact health, education or income/financial stability, which are United Way's pillars of focus. Use the button below to access Grant guidelines on the United Way website. The grant application opens on January 2, 2020 and all applications are due by Friday February 14, 2020 by 5 PM.
Campaign Updates
As we enter the new year and continue our 2019-2020 campaign aiming to reach our goal of $1.5M, we are excited to share about our collaboration with great businesses, including our Funded Partners. Thank you to all of these businesses and organizations and we are excited to keep our campaign growing with more support from additional businesses and organizations as their campaigns run this upcoming spring! We are continuously working to deliver community impact and maintain quality service to our donors and clients. United We Rock is planned for Friday February 29th featuring Dave Minnehan Trio at Stone Cliff Winery starting at 7 PM.

Upcoming United We Rock in March is planned for Sunday March 8th from 3-6 PM and will be featuring Elizabeth Mary at Stone Cliff Winery.

Over The Edge is a unique opportunity for individuals and organizations to raise money and support United Way of Dubuque Area Tri-States (UWDATS) by rappelling off the Hotel Julien Dubuque. All funds raised will go to UWDATS' Community Impact fund which supports 35 LOCAL programs impacting health, education and financial stability/income.

Volunteer Opportunities!
Members of the SASC Board of Directors are volunteers who reside in SASC's service area - which includes the counties of Dubuque and Delaware counties in Iowa. Board members should have an interest in community service, addiction treatment (substance abuse use disorders or gambling), prevention services, or not-for-profit agency management.
Members of the SASC Board of Directors serve on a volunteer basis with no financial compensation.
Meetings are held five time a year and generally scheduled for the first Monday evening in the months of June, September, November, February, and April. However, meeting times may occasionally change. Meetings are currently held in Dyersville at 5:30 in the evening.
Help support Red Cross volunteers!
Did you know that over 90% of the workforce for the American Red Cross is volunteer? From home fires to hurricanes, hundreds of Iowans give their time, talent and treasure to the Red Cross everyday providing care, comfort and compassion during times of disaster. As an Engagement Volunteer, you will help support, engage and recognize these hard working volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Follows up with volunteers and departments to ensure proper placement and job satisfaction.
  • Serve as a resource for volunteer supervisors in all lines of service (Disaster Cycle Services, Biomedical, etc.)
  • Serves as the point of contact for reassignment or referring volunteers to other departments
  • Connects supervisors of volunteers to Volunteer Services HR relation
Women United wants you to mark your calendar for Monday March 2nd, 2020 when we celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday with Read Across America.

Volunteers get a chance to go into local classrooms to read to students and celebrate Dr. Seuss and literacy! This opportunity only takes about an hour of your time and will make an lasting impact on our local youth.
