Dear Friends and Supporters of Saint John’s:

The 2019 holidays were wonderful, busy and magical for all of us at Saint John's. Great memories were made and the staff enjoyed every moment creating a special experience for our women and children. We could not have done this without all of your incredible donations, our Adopt-a-family sponsors and our many, many volunteers. Thank you for your dedicated support of Saint John's!

2020 has now arrived and we have an exciting year ahead of us. Our Building for the Future project is underway and we have bricks for our Saint John's campus walking path available for you to personalize! See the details below.

The women at Saint John's are working hard on their classes and employment training. We also have three women graduating this month from Highlands Community Charter School! Earning a high school diploma, if they have not already done so, is one of the many goals new residents set upon arrival. Congratulations to Sumiko S., Cyndi M. and Ladaja I. on this important accomplishment!

Happy New Year!

BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE
REBUILDING A LIFE, ONE BRICK AT A TIME
WITH YOUR HELP, WE ARE BUILDING A BETTER FUTURE

Naming a commemorative brick offers a great tribute to an individual, family or corporation – connecting their names with the meaningful work that happens every day at Saint John’s Program for Real Change.

It may be just a brick, but it symbolizes a step toward a life of independence, security and happiness.

To purchase your engraved brick today, please visit:  SAINTJOHNSPROGRAM.ORG/BRICK

For more specifics, please call Sasha Wirth or Bethany Knudsen at 916-453-1482.
Holiday Cheer!
The women and children at Saint John's were truly blessed this Christmas by individuals, families, and local schools, businesses and churches who participated in our Adopt-a-family program fulfilling hundreds of Christmas wish lists for the families in our program.

Santa and our AmeriCorp volunteers arrived before the sunrise on Christmas morning to distribute gifts to eager and excited kids and grateful women. So many wonderful people came together to create such a magical and memorable Christmas morning for the women and children at Saint John's and we couldn't be more appreciative.
AmericCorps volunteers
arrived at 6:00 a.m.!
Volunteer Spotlight: Bill Quinn Photography
In his free time, Bill is an avid fisherman and enjoys exploring the outdoors. He and his wife, Ruth, also have a new granddaughter and they are loving every minute with her!
Bill Quinn is one of those lucky people who, after retiring from his corporate career, was able to turn his photography hobby into a second career. Focusing mostly on weddings, high school graduation portraits and special events, Bill was looking for a new opportunity to give back to the community when he learned about Saint John's through a friend.

"I've always volunteered, usually with youth sports, and I was looking for a way to utilize my skills to help an organization.
Saint John's was a perfect spot for me to land."

You may have seen his beautiful photographs from graduations, Guest Chef Dinners and Party for Change on social media or on our client story boards throughout our campus. So incredibly generous with his time and talent, Bill helps us share our story with the powerful images he captures. Thank you, Bill!
