Unified Champion Schools
New Year for renewed sense of Mission
Happy New Year to all. It might take some time to get to a 'new' type of new year but we will. We are excited for the activities and events that lie ahead. We are working on Unified Strength and Conditioning, a Youth Summit, Unified Basketball, and Unified Bocce. And don't forget the Polar Plunge! This is the perfect year to start a new tradition - especially when you can jump into a hot tub instead of an ocean! When the weather breaks we will look ahead to Unified Track and Field. Keep connecting and keep the hope and excitement alive.

We will get on the playing fields again and we will have the best time together!

Unified Basketball
Unified Basketball planning is underway. The Unified Sports Advisory Committee is working through the same timelines and process as all other MIAA sport committees participating in the Fall II season.
Updates will be provided as soon as they become available.
A survey was sent to the Principal and Athletic Director at the 93 schools participating in Unified Basketball. This information will help the planning process.

Whole School Engagement
Need a great activity for your school to rally around? Consider creating a team at your school - or many teams at your school to participate in our Polar Plunge in some way. Your efforts will be supporting the 14,000 athletes in Massachusetts along with more than 500 school programs.

Don't worry if you're not quite there yet. Now is the time to make a difference.
We have lots of creative ways you can 'plunge'.

Due Friday!
Mid-Year survey due January 15th
Data is critical to measuring the impact of our Unified Champion School program. With activity happening in your school only or virtually this fall, we want to make sure we know about it and capture it all. Please fill out this survey and let us know if you have been able to provide any kind of Unified Sports experience, inclusive youth leadership activities, or a whole school engagement activity. Thanks in advance-it's short and quick!

if you have any questions.
