Chapter Election - 2021
The Chapter's Annual Election begins this month, on January 15, 2021.
The election is held on-line, through a secure voting site.
Please keep an eye out for your voting instructions, which will be sent to eligible voters via e-mail, directly from the election site.
If you receive a snail mail ballot, but you'd prefer to vote on-line in the next election, please update your contact information with ASID National, and opt-in for chapter communications.
Only Professional, Allied, and Industry Partner Members in good standing before October 1, 2020,
are eligible to vote.

This course is designed to give participants an understanding of textiles, textile composition, and application of textiles in relation to interior design (not a CEU event).
In-Person attendance is limited due to maximum occupancy restrictions. First Come-First Served. All COVID-19 Safety Protocols will be followed, including but not limited to temperature checks upon entry to the building. Chairs will be spaced to allow for 6 feet of distance between attendees. Face masks are required.

Las Vegas: April 11 -15 - Las Vegas Winter Market (Moved to April)
|

Due to government restrictions and stay-at-home orders that impact travel for key western states, Winter Market is now scheduled for Spring. Due to the later timing of Winter Market, Summer Market dates have been moved 1 month out.
New market dates are:
- Winter Las Vegas Market – NOW April 11-15, 2021 (Gift & Home temporaries April 11-14)
- Summer Las Vegas Market – NOW August 22-26, 2021 (Gift & Home temporaries August 22-25)
IMC has set the industry standard for market safety during COVID. They have an extensive plan in place for markets and events and continue to actively monitor guidance from health & government officials. Details around IMC onsite protocols can be found at TogetherSafely.com.

The Virtual Internship is returning with more opportunities for professional development and to enhance your design knowledge over winter break. New content is available on December 1 - and you can still catch up on all of the Summer Virtual Internship content available on the ASID Academy!

ASID California Central | Nevada Chapter is partnering with the Malouf Foundation on their Rooms Restored program. It's for children who have been physically or sexually abused in their homes. The perpetrator is usually someone the child knows—whether it’s a parent, sibling, or another family member.
As designers we are uniquely positioned to help these children. A child’s bedroom should be a be a place of comfort, a place of hope, a place to call their own—and we can offer that through our time, commitment, and expertise.
We are looking for donations of kid and teen bedroom furnishings, including headboards or complete bed frames, bedside tables, dressers, rugs, lamps, art and accessories. We have a location to collect and store items in Las Vegas, but we still need to find locations in other design communities. If you know of a place in your local area that these items can be stored until needed, please let us know.
