VOLUNTEERING IN 2021
Like many nonprofits going into 2021, we will rely heavily on volunteers and interns to reach our mission and goals for the year. Whether in the form of dedicating time or money, our volunteers and interns showed up in big ways all throughout 2020 and we are excited to see what is to come in the new year! What we have found is that while it may look different, volunteering is just as possible during the unprecedented pandemic than it was before.
2020 forced us to adapt to new ways of providing programming to the community and our volunteers/interns were right beside us as we transitioned into this uncharted territory. From researching tech resources, building out zoom trainings and virtual facilitation guides, fundraising, to actual program facilitation, our supporters rose to every challenge. As we walk into the new year, and the continued unknown, we extend gratitude to those who gave of themselves last year and those who join us in the coming months.
