These casual, members only, one hour meetings will take place quarterly during the lunch hour and will allow our members to engage with us and with each other. Each year, Wisconsin Clean Cities collects data from stakeholders & produces a coalition report. The report reflects all the outstanding work taking place in Wisconsin & can be used to promote our coalition & our region while providing opportunities for funding sustainable transportation projects. The surveys are also used to determine awards at our annual stakeholder meeting! Help us showcase all the activity taking place by telling us about your efforts to reduce petroleum consumption & greenhouse gas emissions. The U.S. EPA is accepting applications for the 2021 Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) grant program. The U.S. EPA anticipates awarding approximately $46 million in competitive grant funding. The program is soliciting applications nationwide for projects that achieve significant reductions in diesel emissions and exposure, particularly from fleets operating in areas with poor air quality. The U.S. EPA is hosting educational Webinars on the solicitation on Feb. 3 and Feb. 11. Details are available on our events calendar. Applications are due March 16, 2021. Our friends at Transportation Energy Partners on Jan. 15 hosted a Webinar on what the new administration and Congress will mean for clean fuels and vehicles. Top policy experts in the field from Electric Drive Transportation Association, NGVAmerica, The Coalition for Renewable Natural Gas and the National Biodiesel Board joined TEP for the Webinar and addressed issues of clean energy legislation, funding, alternative fuel tax credits and much more. WCC member the City of Madison was featured as a "climate haven" on the Jan. 24 edition of "CBS Sunday Morning." The segment featured an interview with Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway discussing the multiple benefits of the city as a "climate haven" for Americans fleeing regions ravaged by climate change-fueled natural disasters. The city was touted for its schools, hospitals, sports, culture, cost of living, high quality of life and climate resilience. Watch the segment here

WCC member Nissan North America, as part of its effort to accelerate electric vehicle transportation alternatives throughout the U.S., is offering customers with proof of eligibility incentive offers toward the purchase of the 100% electric Nissan LEAF. Biodiesel is a renewable, biodegradable fuel that can be manufactured domestically from vegetable oils, animal fats or recycled restaurant grease. It is a cleaner-burning replacement for petroleum diesel fuel. Biodiesel is a liquid fuel often referred to as B100 or neat biodiesel in its pure, unblended form. Like petroleum diesel, biodiesel is used to fuel compression-ignition engines, which run on petroleum diesel.
