NSU Celebrates Second Annual NSU Global Day of Service

On Saturday, January 23, 2021, NSU will celebrate its second annual Global Day of Service, a day dedicated to serving our community with our time and talents.

This year, we've included virtual opportunities that can you participate in at any time and events that take place during Martin Luther King, Jr. Week (January 16-23). We encourage you to get your "service on" early!

NSU Athletics Announces Chancellor Ray Ferrero, Jr. Athletic Degree Completion Endowed Scholarship Fund

The NSU Department of Athletics is honored to announce the Chancellor Ray Ferrero, Jr. NSU Athletic Degree Completion Endowed Scholarship Fund, which was created to support scholarships for student-athletes who have completed their athletic eligibility but have yet to complete their undergraduate degrees. 

This generous gift will also enhance and enrich the student-athlete experience and support the vision and mission of NSU Athletics in perpetuity.

NSU Pharmacy alumni working in different facets of the process development, management, distribution, and administration of the COVID-19 vaccinations have been featured in both local and national news outlets including the Today Show, Fox News, and more.

NSU Optometry Alumna Helps People See Again

Featured in the Miami Herald, NSU alumna and optometrist Vanessa Marino, O.D., is helping individuals who qualify as legally blind see again. Marino specializes in scleral contact lenses for patients who have degenerative conditions.

NSU Speech Pathology Alumnae Honored With Early Career Professional Certificate

NSU’s Speech-Language Pathology program alumnae Krista Hadeed, M.S., '15 and Samantha Novick, M.S., '15 were awarded the 2020 Distinguished Early Career Professional (ECP) Certificate by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

NSU Cross Country & Track Alumni Kevin Meagher Selected to SSC Men’s Cross Country All-Decade Second Team

As voted upon by league administrators and head coaches, NSU alumnus and former cross country and track standout Kevin Meagher, B.S. '12, was officially named as a second-team member of the Sunshine State Conference Men's Cross Country All-Decade Team on January 8, 2021.

Johannes W. Vieweg, M.D., FACS is Dean and Chief Academic Officer of NSU's Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine. His presentation will address the public health value of the COVID-19 vaccines, information on the recovery plan to manage the production, distribution and administration of the FDA approved vaccines and the new emerging COVID-19 variants.
