The Beijing Olympics are still a year away but SAS offers its own variety of winter games for a bit of competition and entertainment.
Sylwia McNamara has already kicked off the semester with multi-week sessions of Beginner, Advanced Beginner, and Intermediate Bridge. New sessions will begin in the spring. Registration is open.
McNamara's popular Bridge: Keeping Up with Conventions and Strategies for Play of Hand series offers single session weekly opportunities to focus on a specific topic, with notes and homework to reinforce the lesson. Students may register for as many or as few classes as they like. Next week's subject is Developing Long Suits (Course 10144) on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.
Shuffle the deck and grab a second one. Emma Foster and Amy Katz are offering a five-week evening section of Canasta: Beginner Series (Course 10311) starting Wednesday, February 3, 2021. The next daytime session begins Tuesday, February 23, 2021 (Course 10131).
They also have one more topic-specific class coming up soon in their Canasta Strategies series. For players ready to move beyond the basics, Special Hands (Course 10133) will be the focus on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.
