Christmas and New Year Message from Fr. Fernando García SX, Superior general of the Xaverian Missionaries
Bringing to Prayer the Global Experience of Coronavirus

With our global links, the Xaverian Missionaries invite you to share your prayers with the whole world. Everywhere the struggle with Covid-19 makes such demands on our lives, and has taken our beloved away from us as well. When we feel powerless in front of our vulnerability in the sea of microbiology we all swim in, we understand more deeply our dependence on the God of creation. Let’s bring all of our prayer together in our global family. Please share your prayers in our e-prayer page.
World Day of Peace
During his Sunday Angelus address Dec. 27, the pope commemorated the feast of the Holy Family and said that it served as a reminder "of the example of evangelizing with the family" as highlighted in his exhortation.

Beginning March 19, he said, the year of reflection on "Amoris Laetitia" will be an opportunity "to focus more closely on the contents of the document."

Let Us Dream. The Path to a Better Future
During the lockdown, Pope Francis wrote down some reflections to help our world to be a better place after the COVID-19 pandemic. In December 2020, Francis published a book containing a new path after this time of crisis: “Let Us Dream – The Path to a Better Future.” In this book, Francis asserts that the pandemic is a time of crisis and that every crisis is a time of change. It is an opportunity to change our daily habits and routines. And actually, Coronavirus changed routines and patterns worldwide. With no exceptions, everywhere in the world, people have been hit by the pandemic. The world found itself more connected than ever. Learn more from Pietro Rossini SX.

Be Our Light for the New Year
Come, Holy Spirit,
Spirit of the Risen Christ, be with us today and always.
Be our Light, our Guide, and our Comforter.
Be our Strength, our Courage, and our Sanctifier.
May this new year be a time of deep spiritual growth for us,
A time of welcoming your graces and gifts,
A time for forgiving freely and unconditionally,
A time for growing in virtue and goodness.
Come, Holy Spirit,
Be with us today and always.
