Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Happy New Year! As we begin 2022, January is dedicated to the Holy Name of Jesus. We also celebrate on January 2, the Epiphany of the Lord. Take time to experience the wonder and awe of the Incarnation. "Epiphany means the revelation of the Messiah's coming to the Gentiles whom the Magi represent. It is one of the five days of the year called "a day most holy" in the Canon of the Mass." Click for a recipe to make King Cake from Catholic Culture. Even though our diocese celebrated the Epiphany yesterday, the celebration continues!
Much of the world thinks that Christmas is over, but we know it is a season to be celebrated. As we seek to encounter the Lord in this new year, remember to be alert in the present moment. Don't let yourself be distracted from His presence.
