UNITED WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Nominations now being accepted for 2022 Governor's Volunteer Service Awards!
The awards program, created by the Office of the Governor in 1979, recognizes North Carolina’s most dedicated volunteers. Through the years, the award has been bestowed on thousands of North Carolinians who have shown concern and compassion for their neighbors by volunteering in their local community.

Each county selects up to ten individuals, businesses, groups/teams and one paid Director of Volunteers to be recognized for their outstanding contributions to their communities. One of the nominees will be nominated for the Governor’s Medallion Award for Volunteer Service, which is awarded to the top 20 volunteers in the state. A local committee evaluates the nominations.

Nominations must be submitted by Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 5pm in order to be considered.

UWLC Community Assessment Meeting POSTPONED to April 1, 2022!
The UWLC Community Assessment Meeting has been postponed from Friday, January 28, 2022 to Friday, April 1, 2022 due to the increase in Covid cases. After consulting with our steering committee and with our local health professionals, we hope this will be a safer time to gather as a large group. We feel this meeting will be more productive in-person and are confident Springtime will allow us to do that, however, if things have not progressed by Spring, we will have a virtual back-up plan. More information will be provided at a later date.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of the United Way of Lincoln County!

Charlie Reep
Charlie began serving on the United Way Board of Directors in 2020. Since he began his service on the board, he has become an invaluable asset to our continued work in the community.

Charlie is a proud Lincoln County Native and proud App State Mountaineer. Mr. Reep and his wife, Hayley, have two great kids, CJ and Savannah. In his spare time, Charlie and his family enjoy lake time and riding dirt bikes in warm weather, and snow skiing in the winter.
We are thankful to have Charlie continue to serve on the United Way of Lincoln County Board of Directors!
