Landings Landlovers
Enriching the Community We Love
|
|
A great time was had by all at our Holiday Soiree! We had something for everyone from caroling to jazz players to holiday cheer. Re-visit the event or see what you may have missed by reviewing the professional photos (by Donna Von Bruening) in the gallery on our website (click here).
While December is a busy month for social and family gatherings, it is also a time for giving. Landlovers second annual ringing for The Salvation Army was again a success and we thank all of those who volunteered and who gave to this worthwhile cause that benefits our community.
As the New Year arrives, Landlovers gears up for its multitude of fun, fantastic and fulfilling fundraising activities. We can all win when you purchase tickets for the 2022 Club Car Championship Sweepstakes Fore Charity and pick Landlovers as your charity (click here).
As we each decide on our New Year’s resolutions, let’s not forget to organize our homes and search for items to donate to the Flea Market and Auctionmania (click here). We will have fun as we play games in the spring and raise funds to support our scholarship and grant programs.
We are looking forward to hosting our annual fundraising events and hope you will join us.
All the best for your New Year!
Best regards,
Marian Mackle

We’re looking for hundreds of unique and high-value items for Auctionmania. Our silent auction will be held on March 14 at the Palmetto Club. All proceeds benefit The Landlovers Foundation.

Topic: Interior Landscaping, aka House Plants. A talk by Allan Bradham, President of Fancy Plants, Inc.
When: Wednesday, January 5, 2022. 9:30 am – 10 am registration and refreshments!. 10 am short meeting followed by program with Q&A. The plants will be distributed to the audience via a raffle. Guests welcome @ $5 per person.
Where: Messiah Lutheran Church, 1 West Ridge Rd.
Comments: You may be thinking that ‘House Plants’ sounds a dull topic. If so, you are perhaps the only person in CGL who has not received a gift orchid or fallen for the siren song of a plant in a shop like Fancy Plants where they are diverse, lovely, and very well displayed and cared for. Allan was an early provider of Interior Landscaping and maintenance for offices and shopping malls in the Savannah area. He knows his stuff. Look around your home and bring your questions. Suggestion: if you have a ‘former-gardener’ friend now in an apartment, consider inviting him or her to this program.

|
When: Tuesdays from 2:00 – 4:00 pm as announced to our email list
