Winter has arrived, and we would like to remind all the employees of the Policy for Town Office Closure During Emergencies & Town Office Closure Leave Guidelines.
What's New?
Blue Cross Blue Shield MA 1099-HC
All 1099-HC forms to eligible subscribers will be:
  • Posted online to your MyBlue account on January 31, 2022
  • Postmarked for mailing by January 31, 2022

If you haven't received a form by the first week of February 2022, and you can't access it on MyBlue, please call Member Service using the number on the front of your ID card (1-800-782-3675).

Please note that not all members will receive a 1099-HC form from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. You won't receive a form if you:
  • You're a subscriber younger than 18 years of age

If you still have questions about whether you're eligible or excluded, please refer to your tax advisor or the Massachusetts Department of Revenue or call 1-800-392-6089.

Public Service Loan Forgiveness
On Oct. 6, 2021, the U.S. Department of Education (ED) announced a change to Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program rules for a limited time (until October 31, 2022) as a result of the COVID-19 national emergency.

Borrowers may receive credit for past periods of repayment that would otherwise not qualify for PSLF.

If you are new to PSLF and want some background about the program, please take time to visit the PSLF information page.

The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working full-time for a qualifying employer.

To ensure you’re on the right track, you should submit a Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) & Temporary Expanded PSLF (TEPSLF) Certification & Application (PSLF Form). Please fill out the form and bring it to the HR office for a signature. Please do not send the form via email!
