Winter 2021 Commencement Highlights
The College of Arts and Letters graduated 270 students at December commencement, including summer and fall graduates.

All five members of the inaugural cohort of MA Spanish graduates traveled to Pocatello to attend the December commencement.

Departments Collaborate to Provide Students Opportunities with Pinyon Jay Press
The Pinyon Jay Press is housed in the VisComm Experimental Lab in the Liberal Arts Building. It is run in collaboration between the Department of Communication, Media, and Persuasion, the Department of English and Philosophy, and the Department of Art. 
ISU Impact: MA Spanish Program
In this episode Cathleen Tarp, Associate Professor of Spanish, joins Kandi Turley-Ames to discuss the impact the new Master of Arts Spanish program makes on Idaho students and students across the country because of its accessibility as one of the only fully online programs in the country.
Dr. Lauralee Zimmerly, Theatre and Dance, Receives Lifetime Achievement in Dance Award
Dr. Lauralee Zimmerly, a faculty member in the Department of Theatre & Dance at ISU was awarded the Lifetime Achievement in Dance by the Idaho Dance Education Organization - IDEO.
Dr. Jeremy Thomas, 2021 Textbook Hero
Sociology department chair, Dr. Jeremy Thomas, was named a 2021 ISU Textbook Hero by the Idaho State University Libraries. This award honors members of the ISU community that promote or adopt low-cost or free course materials.

An administrative assistant for the History Department. Cailee graduated from ISU in 2018 with BAs in Communication and Art and she has been working at ISU for 6 years. Autumn is her favorite season of the year and her favorite location on campus is the Quad.
