Piano technicians are often asked about their work. What’s it like? How do you get started? How much money can I make? PTG has resources available to help you answer these questions.
Finance Your Exam Journey
The Piano Technicians Guild Foundation offers scholarships for members who have passed two RPT examinations and plan to take the third exam at the annual convention. They also recently launched a new scholarship for chapter leaders that pays for one exam voucher anywhere you choose to take the exam. Visit the PTGF Foundation page at www.ptgf.org and click on Scholarships for more information.
Update Your Website
Please check your business and chapter websites to make sure they include up-to-date logos and information. Don't forget that the term you should use to identify yourself or PTG colleagues is either Member or Registered Piano Technician (RPT). Visit the Member Directory at www.ptg.org to see the most current list of members.
PTG Green Initiative
As adopted in 2005, the Council Book of Resolutions states, "Home Office and PTG membership shall be environmentally aware." Over the last year, the HO has been working towards eliminating the printing and mailing of such things as newsletters, supplements, invoices, and monthly statements. Please update your profile online or contact the HO if we do not have your current contact information. Click on Public Profile under your Contact Details to update your information.k
