AIM is SO excited to share that we voted three new members onto the board in December, and they started the new year off right by attending board orientation and their first meeting! Our new board members are:

Tania Said, owner and principal of Tania Said Consulting, has been involved in the museum and not-for-profit world since 1994! She brings a wealth of knowledge surrounding strategic planning and moving organizations forward! We look forward to what she will bring to the AIM board over her two year term. Tania has taken on the role of programs committee chair. If you have an idea or just want to get involved, do not hesitate to reach out!

Kaman Hillenberg, the collections manager at the Evansville Museum, joins the board with her experience leading the Southwestern Indiana Collections Connection Association since 2013. She also is a member of the Association of Midwest Musuem Board of Directors. Kaman has taken the helm as chair the Marketing Committee.

Birttany Miller, the Eastern Regional Director for Indiana Landmarks, has worked in the museum field since 2016 and has worked as everything from visitor services to collection and site manager. In Memoriam

The AIM board is deeply saddened to share that Cinnamon Caitlin-Legutko passed away last week. For many she was their museum hero! Cinnamon embodied an astute museum leader and was unfailingly generous with her time and knowledge.

While most people know Cinnamon for her time at the Abbe Museum, she also spent a portion of her career here in Indiana. Her early career was curating the Wishard Nursing Museum in Indianapolis. She then spent a year as the Director/Curator of the Miami County Museum before becoming the Director of the General Lew Wallace Study & Museum in 2003.

Cinnamon was a force for equity in museums that will be greatly missed in the museum field! Due to her impact on the field, friends have set up a memorial fund which will be housed under AASLH. Click here to learn more. The AIM board's thoughts are with Cinnamon's family, friends and colleagues at this time.
