Nevada Moonshot Flight Crew
|
Calling all Nevada girls, non-binary, and gender-expansive youth ages 12-16!
NAN wants YOU to be part of the youth Nevada Flight Crew! Apply today to be one of five youth to be selected to join the Flight Crew. We are looking for young scientists, engineers, inventors, builders, and leaders who have been inspired by their experience outside of the school classroom. Members will receive training on public speaking, advocacy, and leadership, as well as opportunities to participate in STEM experiences and engage with mentors.
A $500 scholarship to support the continuation of STEM educational experiences will be given to those who are selected for the Flight Crew.

Aim High Middle School
OST Program Grants
|
The New York Life Foundation will make 40 grants to out-of-school time programs serving youth, specifically middle schoolers, through their Aim High local RFP grant program. The Aim High program is part of the New York Life Foundation’s ongoing investment in middle school OST programs to help eighth-graders reach ninth grade on track and on time.

CCMHCC Youth Video Contest
|
The Clark County Children's Mental Health Consortium (CCCMHC) is hosting a youth video contest to promote Children’s Mental Health Acceptance Week: May 7-13, 2023. The purpose of this contest to encourage the youth throughout Nevada to express their creativity as a way to help raise awareness about mental health.

Children's Week At The Nevada Legislature

Children's Week was created to have a full week dedicated to advocating for Nevada's children. Together, we will fill the halls of the State Capitol and speak up for our children and families on
March 13th-16th, 2023
NICRP is providing limited, free bus transportation from Las Vegas to Carson City for interested families. By riding the bus to Carson City, you will have the chance to partake in Children's Day Activities on Monday, March 14, 2023.
Space is limited, so be sure to register early to reserve your seat!

City of Las Vegas Hiring for Safekey/RAP Program
|
|
The Safekey and ReInvent Before- and After-School Programs offer enrichment and engagement programming during out-of-school time hours at 68 Clark County School District elementary schools within the city of Las Vegas. These programs provide a safe environment where children in grades kindergarten–5th can engage in fun educational and recreational activities, work on homework, and have a nutritious snack under the supervision of caring staff role models.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE INCLUDE:
Site Leader | Site Assistant
Positions average 19-25 hours/week.
Pay range $14-$16/hour plus up to $800 in bonus pay.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or High School Equivalency credential preferred.
First Aid and CPR Certification by start date.

AmeriCorps Members will serve at various Henderson Safekey programs and Battle Born Kids Summer Camp locations. Terms will run from date of enrollment until August 15th, 2023.
