Letter from City Administrator Cathy Stepp

Thank you for signing up for our monthly newsletter! I wanted to start the year off strong by creating yet another way to connect with you, our residents and community members. This newsletter is a great way to stay up to date on the many positive things we have going on at Branson City Hall. We value your involvement and feedback and want to make it as easy as possible for you to engage with your local government and to make your voice heard.

Besides this newsletter, I want to encourage you to take a few minutes to check out our website, WWW.BRANSONMO.GOV. It has a plethora of great information about your local government and has many ways to connect with us as well. This includes a “Feedback & Questions” section where you can report things like potholes, trash in the streets, or even a streetlight that has gone out. You can even report a code violation to the Police Department or report any water or sewer issues from this section as well.

However you find us, I want you to know we are here to serve you and want to hear from you. Feel free to reach out anytime.

Happy New Year!

Administrator Cathy Stepp

POLICE DEPARTMENT

Welcome Chief Schmitt and new Police employees!

On Monday, December 19, 2022 the Branson Police Department held a Badge Pinning Ceremony celebrating four new officers, a new dispatcher, and two promotions at BPD, including Chief Schmitt

A special welcome to new officers Austin Simmons, Johnathan Sigmin, Jordan Harder and Will Huber as well as new dispatcher, Taeler Martin. Assistant Chief Schmitt was promoted to Police Chief and Officer Greg Yartz was promoted to Police Sgt. Officers Huber, Sigmin, and Simmons just graduated from Drury University 's law enforcement academy and are ready to transition from Trainees to Police Officers in their Field Training program.

Beware of Porch Pirates!

'Tis the Season'...for porch pirates, those people you keep seeing doorbell videos of that steal your packages off your porch!

The Branson Police Department strongly encourages you to report any package or mail theft to the carrier and to the local law enforcement agency as soon as you realize it was stolen. The sooner we get the information, the sooner we can look into it to try to stop porch pirates from additional thefts and can increase patrol in your neighborhood to minimize the issues.

BRANSON FIRE RESCUE

Check those fire sprinkler systems!

The Branson Fire Department would like to remind all Branson area businesses to prepare now for the expected drop in temperatures to reduce the chance of major fire sprinkler damage and malfunction. This is a big problem it sees every winter.
