Happy New Year!

With 2023 comes the heart of our sales and media mission season.

Over the next four months, we'll be in Germany, Switzerland, England, Scotland, and France. Thanks to those partners and DMOs joining us to promote the Capital Region. We'll also return to Iceland in partnership with Visit Baltimore for a trade show with Icelandair. We ended 2022 with a sales mission to Belgium, Switzerland, and France and those leads are now available. (See below)

If you haven't had a chance to check out our newly updated website, I encourage you to do so. With a more user-friendly navigation and layout, as well as improved visuals and expanded content, the site remains one of the most important ways we tell our story to potential overseas travelers. A big thanks to Stacey Sheetz and the team at Miles Partnership for this work on it!

In early March, the CRUSA board and staff will meet for a planning retreat - our first since the pandemic. We have a number of questions about where to put our focus in the future including which markets we're in, including China, our strategies, goals, and how to better connect you to international visitors. I look forward to telling you more about it soon.

As always, thank you for your support of our programs. 2023 looks to be a big year and we're excited to promote you!

Sincerely,
Scott Balyo
