Tips for a Healthy Beginning to the New Year

New Faculty member Suzy Wood, an integrative nutrition health coach, is offering several customized courses this month and next to help you turn over a new leaf for the new year.

First up on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, is a Pantry Makeover and Tour of Whole Foods, designed to dissect the food labels of your favorite products and explain what you are really feeding yourselves and your family. Students may choose to attend the Pantry Makeover Only (Course 11665) or register for the Pantry Makeover and Tour of Whole Foods (Course 11666), in which students will meet at Whole Foods in White Plains for a second session on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 (transportation is not provided) to walk the aisles in search of tasty, satisfying, and nutritious foods. Healthy and delicious foods are not mutually exclusive and this trip will enable you to have both at once. Students are invited to stay after the tour for an informal discussion over lunch (additional cost on your own).

On Monday, January 23, 2023, Wood begins a four-week course on how to Reduce Food Cravings, Lower Stress, and Increase Energy Without Dieting (Course 11659). Later in the week, she returns for a single session in the evening via Zoom called Divorce Detox: How to Start Healing (Course 11667) on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Explore the many factors that contribute to your sense of nourishment and happiness and create a personal road map, ready to implement, so you can start healing after marriage ends.

In February, Wood returns to offer Creative Cooking for Busy People (Course 11668) on Friday, February 3, 2023. Demonstration and tasting menu will include soup, salads, condiments, vegetable dishes and dessert, with recipes provided for all.
