Update from Student Technology Services

DUO Push is changing and will now present a 3-digit number to enter when accessing WashU platforms off campus. This change is necessary to prevent accidental approvals of nefarious logins. Please make sure to set up DUO on any new devices before deleting it from your old ones.

Winter Welcome Week

Campus Life is hosting Winter Welcome Week events designed to enrich your campus experience this winter. These events are a wonderful opportunity to engage with the campus community, enjoy fun activities, and make lasting memories.




  • On Thin Ice: January 17 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM CST at Mudd Field

Enjoy ice skating and warm up with hot drinks for a perfect start to your spring semester.


Test your trivia skills and enjoy an evening of laughter and camaraderie. Great questions, great company, and delicious refreshments. Team up and join the fun.

Health Happenings

Health Promotion


Did you know? The Zenker Wellness Suite in Sumers Recreation Center is the health promotion hub for the Habif Health and Wellness Center. A wide range of free resources are offered to support your health and wellness:


  • Mental Health and Self-Care: Access to materials like journals for personal reflection and sleep masks to help ensure restful sleep.
  • Alcohol and Other Drug Risk Reduction: Resources to reduce the risks associated with substance use, including safer drug disposal kits.
  • Sexual Health and Relationships: Information and supplies for safe sexual practices, including pregnancy tests and various safer sex supplies.
  • General Wellness: Snacks for nutrition on the go, as well as face masks and hand sanitizer to maintain hygiene and health.


The Suite is staffed by knowledgeable graduate students in health promotion from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST Monday through Friday during the semester (aside from breaks). Make sure to stop by the Zenker Wellness Suite to utilize these great resources and invest in your wellbeing while you navigate campus life.

Center for Counseling and Psychological Services

The Center for Counseling and Psychological Services offers process groups, support groups, and skills and educational groups to meet the diverse needs of WashU students. Check out the spring 2024 groups on the Group Therapy Services website.

Bearprints for Success

This one-credit, seven-week course is designed to help incoming students make a successful transition to WashU, both academically and personally. This course sets students on a path to academic success and community engagement through academic readings, small-group discussions, and empirically-based learning activities centered on the five core anchors of Student Affairs: Healthy Excellence; Leadership; Career Development; Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion; and Student Engagement & Belonging. Over the seven weeks of the course, students will be introduced to the campus resources that will support them during their time at WashU. If you are interested in taking Bearprints for Success, L43 1100, please speak with your academic advisor when discussing your spring 2024 course schedule. Seats have been reserved in Bearprints for Success for incoming spring 2024 transfer students.

WUSA Application Opens on January 16!

Student Transitions & Family Programs will be hosting a live virtual Information Session to introduce the WUSA role, explain the application and interview process, and answer questions. There will also be three in-person Information Sessions. It is highly recommended that those interested in applying for the WUSA role attend one of the four Information Sessions:

Libraries Student Advisory Group Applications

WashU Libraries have opened applications for the 2024 Libraries Student Advisory Group. This group provides direct feedback and ideas to Libraries administration. Membership includes a year-long commitment and will involve 2-4 meetings per semester, in addition to optional opportunities to assist with events and orientation activities. Applications are available online and will remain open through 5:00 PM CST on Friday, February 9. Students will receive an annual stipend of $500 for their time and insights.

Overseas Programs

Arts & Sciences Study Abroad Applications for fall, academic year, and summer 2024 close on February 1. Spring 2025 applications are open March 1 through May 1. If you are interested, check out program options and apply on the Study Abroad website. You can connect with an Overseas Programs Study Abroad advisor for answers to your questions.

Neighborhood Spotlight: Central West End


The Central West End is a hub for historical architecture, dining, and shopping. To get there from the MetroLink, get on the blue line towards Fairview Heights at Big Bend station and get off at the Central West End station.

St. Louis Auto Show: January 18 - January 21 at varying hours

This auto show is the region's largest automobile event with over 500 new cars, trucks, and SUVs from more than 25 manufacturers. This family-friendly event, hosted at The Dome at America's Center, offers ride & drive events, exhilarating drifting exhibitions, and even pet adoptions. Whether you're a car enthusiast or just looking for a fun day out, there's something for everyone.


The Loop Ice Carnival: January 20 from 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM CST

The 17th annual Loop Ice Carnival will take place in the Delmar Loop, celebrating the season with live ice-carving demonstrations, astounding ice sculptures, impressive fire performers, and festive stilt walkers. There will also be a playful scavenger hunt, marshmallow roasting for s’mores, and face painting.


Jagged Little Pill: January 19 at 7:30 PM CST, January 20 at 2:00 PM CST & 7:30 PM CST, and January 22 at 1:00 PM CST

Dive into Jagged Little Pill, a Tony-winning musical inspired by Alanis Morissette's iconic album at the Fabulous Fox Theatre.
