South Texas MLS is implementing new Participant and Subscriber Agreements for all MLS users. These agreements, along with the MLS rules and regulations, will govern the relationship between the MLS and its Participants and Subscribers. Starting Tuesday, March 5, 2024, all MLS users are required to sign the new agreement to maintain access to our systems; you'll encounter the acceptance prompt when logging in on or after that date.
Both the Participant Agreement and Subscriber Agreement serve as the foundational contracts through which MLS services, including database access, are provided. These agreements, subject to MLS rules and regulations, encompass terms that complement these rules, detailing aspects such as MLS service, warranties, and copyright terms. Notably, the Participant Agreement affords brokers the option to assign their copyrights to the MLS. Both agreements outline how the MLS and other brokers can utilize the listings provided by the subscribing entities.
Below are copies of each agreement along with a corresponding FAQ sheet. We recommend reviewing the agreements before March 5. Should you have any concerns, we advise consulting with your legal counsel.
