Looking back at 2023 it was a pretty good year for the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce. We had successful and well attended events like the Lisle Uncorked, A Wine Event, our annual Golf Outing and Turkey Trot Tune-Up 5K. Also, ribbon cuttings made a comeback which means we added more new members. The Chamber is headed on the right path.
I hope to keep this momentum going in 2024. We can look forward to our favorite events returning and we might bring back another favorite or add a couple of new ones. Growth and member participation are key. In 2024 let’s all work together to keep the growth going. We can all help. Let’s spread the word to other business owners about the many services the Chamber offers. Let’s attend LINCT or Ambassador meetings to network with other members. Let’s attend ribbon cuttings and welcome new Chamber members. Let’s join a committee and help plan an event or volunteer. Every event we go to, every committee we join and every time we volunteer is an opportunity to meet other chamber members and network. I’ve met some of my biggest clients that way….and that’s what the Chamber is all about.
We as members make up the Lisle Area Chamber of Commerce and make it what it is. In 2024 I hope we make it fun and at the same time I hope we all work together, support each other, and grow together.
I look forward to seeing all of you at many Chamber events throughout 2024 and hope you all have a happy, healthy and prosperous year!

AMBASSADOR SPOTLIGHT
Tom Reif
The Alera Group
Tom Reif of the The Alera Group is this month's featured Ambassador. Tom is a Senior Benefits Advisor with The Alera Group. His primary duties are selling benefits such as Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, Long and Short-Term Disability and Life Insurance to companies. Tom has been in this field for 33 years.
Tom is actively involved in the Lisle Area Chamber and is on the Ale Fest, Dinner Dance, Golf, Scholarship, and Wine Committees. In addition to his work on those Committees, Tom is on the Chamber's Board of Directors and in the past has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors. He has been a Lisle Area Chamber member for over 13 years. Tom enjoys being an Ambassador because he is able to go to new members and tell them all about the benefits of being a Chamber member and that you get back what you put into your membership. He has also received some really nice insurance clients from the businesses he has met through the Chamber.
Tom lives in Naperville and has 25-year-old triplets, 2 boys and a girl. He enjoys golfing, working out, hunting and fishing. Tom likes the quote, "If it is to be, It's up to me."

It’s a brand-new year and maybe you are thinking why join a Chamber or why renew my Chamber membership? With Lisle Area Chamber membership, you receive members only perks, exclusive member advertising listings, networking opportunities, advertising in our Membership Directory & Community Profile as well as in our upcoming Community Map, networking opportunities, and a great deal of exposure for your business.
Membership not only strengthens your Search Engine Optimization (SEO)’s on the web but allows you to market to portions of the community you might not have been able to reach before. Visibility and a connection to your community is important especially now. It is important to be informed with local, state and federal programs offered to businesses and with Chamber membership, you will be kept up to date on pertinent information for your business. Networking helps establish beneficial relationships with other businesses. Within our Chamber we are working hard to help our members create those lasting business relationships.
Did you know that some members promote hot deals and specials on our website? We also offer the opportunity for your business to post job openings on our job search section of our website. We have a Chamber table at the French Market that runs from May-September and with your Chamber membership, you can leave your company's promotional materials at our Chamber table. The Chamber will be hosting a Member Appreciation continental breakfast and networking event which is open to all members and is free to attend. This will be beneficial to all Members especially to our New Members because we will review your Chamber benefits, Committees, opportunities, sponsorships, and website member portal. You must register to attend, and no walk-ins will be accepted. You can register by clicking HERE or contact the Chamber office. This is a free event and is only open to current members.
