Tellico Village: Wellness Challenge 2024!

The Tellico Village Wellness Challenge will begin on January 1st! To participate, you must have a Parks and Recreation membership. Please register and pick up your scorecard by December 31st. Participants will earn prizes through attendance and weekly bonus challenges that will be announced the weekend prior. Prizes include Wellness Challenge swag, guest passes, and a top prize of a FREE 6-Month Individual membership. Join us in starting 2024 by building healthy habits!

New Swim Clinic

Learn to be a better swimmer

Do you want to swim more efficiently? Then mark your calendar for January 11th. Clinics will be held from 12 pm-1 pm in the Wellness Center indoor pool and run by the Tellico Village Swim Club Coach, Chris Pelant. Chris Pelant has over two decades of experience coaching swimmers at all levels. The clinics, free to Parks and Recreation members, will focus primarily on front crawl and backstroke. Bootcamp 101

Kelly Cox is continuing Bootcamp 101 in January at a new time! Come to Bootcamp on Saturdays at 10:15 am at the Wellness Center.

Candlelight Yin Yoga

Join Jill Pranger for a special Candlelight Yin Yoga class in January. This specialty class will meet at 5:45 pm at the Wellness Center on:

Kickboxing - Tuesdays at 5:15 pm

Whatever your fitness levels, come work out all major muscle groups. Join Michele Tate at the Wellness Center for kickboxing. This class will improve your cardio conditioning, muscular strength, balance, and mental focus. This class is mostly movement with a combination of kicks and punches but will take you through other exercises for optimal results. Bring a mat, towel, and water. 

Intro to Resistance Training - Monday and Wednesday at 3:15 pm

Have you noticed everyday tasks becoming more challenging as your strength isn't quite what it used to be? Ever wanted to start a training routine but are not quite sure how to even begin? Join, Wellness Center Manager, Trey Whittemore, for a class covering the basics of creating a resistance training routine and going over the keys to performing foundational movement patterns such as the squat and the overhead press. Please bring closed-toe shoes, and questions, and join Trey on a journey to empowerment!


Classes will be on Monday and Wednesday at 3:15 pm at the Wellness Center.

Chota Fitness Classes Alternate Locations

Balance Flex and Stretch

Balance, Flex, and Stretch will be moving to Friday at 12:15 pm at the Wellness Center while the Chota Rec Center is closed.

Pilates Fusion

Genese's Pilates Fusion will be moving to the Wellness Center at 11:15 am on Tuesday and Thursday while the Chota Rec Center is closed.

BBB

Bend, Balance, and Build with Mikki Barr will continue with a new location. BBB will meet at the Community Church located at 130 Chota Ct, Loudon TN. Please park behind the church and follow the lower walkway to the classrooms.


Tuesday and Thursday at 9:15 am. Chairs will be provided. Please bring hand weights.

Therapeutic Yoga + January 2024 Focus: Begin with Balance!

Let’s Begin with Balance!  Begin to develop the necessary “ingredients” for Balance: Leg / Core Strength and Posture. Yoga-based gentle movements and breath work practiced seated in/or standing by a chair and on a mat (optional!). Chairs Provided. Please Bring a mat AND a bath or beach towel. Create your agility, stability, and resiliency for 2024!

Warriors at Ease

Warriors at Ease

Are you a veteran and/or first responder in Tellico Village? If so, we have a state of the art internationally recognized wellness program designed specifically for you.


The Parks and Recreation Department is excited to provide this internationally recognized wellness/meditation/yoga program specifically for Veterans, Active-Duty Military, and First Responders in Tellico Village. We are honored to have an advisory group of distinguished Veterans and active first responder from Tellico Village working together to assist in designing the program specifically for us.


Our advisory group consists of Bill Butera, Kevin Kuklok, Shawn Tallant, Rick Creange, and Brad Ward. Our program will be called “Tellico Warriors”. 


There is no charge for this class and membership is not required. Please sign up on www.schedulepoa.com so we can gauge the number of participants and receive free swag! However, walk-ins are welcome. 


Warriors at ease will be held at the Yacht Club on the top floor from 8:15am on Fridays.

Hike the Village

Hiking is back! In January there will be a friendly hike that begins at the Wellness Center. Friday hikes meet at 10:30 am at the trail kiosk. All levels of hikers are welcome. Please bring water.

TOC Injury Assessment



Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinic


Tennessee Orthopaedic Clinic provides free TOC Injury Assessments to those who live in Tellico Village. 

Injury assessments will now be available 7:00 am-12:00 pm, Monday-Friday at the Wellness Center. If you have aches and pains or have questions about injuries to joints, muscles, or bones schedule a time to meet with them.
