Communication Protocol

Whom do I contact with a question or suggestion? Lake Geneva Schools’ communication protocols help promote direct, open, and respectful interactions so that we quickly and efficiently resolve problems and concerns. The communication protocol starts with the staff member closest to the situation, as that person usually has the most information. What is Kidspace? A family-involved playgroup for all 2-4 year olds and caregivers. The Kidspace Playgroup is a free program offering your child an opportunity for free play, art activities, movement, storytime, and a snack! This is a perfect opportunity to strengthen social-emotional skills, early literacy skills, and develop connections between families. MAIN OFFICE CHECK-IN PROCEDURE

Main Office Check-In Procedure:

In an effort to continue safety procedures and protocols, Star Center is asking that all visitors enter the building using the main entrance. Please note that if a visitor is wishing to enter the building, go to the classroom, etc. Ms. Aronson and Ms. Donahue will ask for a driver's license to be handed to them upon arrival. They will then exchange the driver's license for a visitor's pass to indicate to staff and students that the person wearing the visitor's pass is allowed in the school building. We appreciate your understanding of this procedure as we continue to do what we can to ensure the safety of all students and staff at Star Center.

STUDENT ATTENDANCE AND ATTENDANCE PROCEDURES

School attendance is very important, and we encourage families to make sure their children are in school as much as possible. However, children who are sick need to stay home for their well-being and to prevent others from becoming sick. Lake Geneva Schools partners with the Geneva Lakes Family YMCA to offer Y Base and Wrap Around Care for those children needing care before, during and after school for the 2023-2024 school year. Programs are located at Central-Denison and Star Center Schools but also service Eastview students.
