Join Bonnie Pollack, CBST Board member and past co-chair of L’dor Vador, CBST’s 40s-50s+ group, as well as a standing member of the Hospitality Team and Ending Mass Incarceration Team. Bonnie is also a former Board Member of The Circle of Strength, a local fundraising organization formed by her and others for ovarian cancer research. Hosted by Judy Ribnick.

Beyond (and Before) Yentl – Stories from the Queer Jewish Canon

Learn about LGBTQ stories in Jewish lore through the centuries. Marques received ordination as a Maggid (sacred storyteller) and is an operatically trained vocalist, ritual leader, and theatre-maker, who has been telling (and singing!) stories for as long he can remember.

Soul to Soul Outing with CBST's Mishpachah

Get inspired by Soul to Soul, an emotionally captivating theatrical concert featuring a mix of Spiritual, Jazz, Klezmer and Folk - African American and Jewish Music Meet in Celebration of Two Cultures. Featuring former CBST Cantorial Intern Cantor Magda Fishman. Hosted by CBST Mishpachah.

Mishpachah (Family) is CBST’s weekly online meetup for conversation, learning and fun. We also have some great outings planned. Mishpachah is a great way to talk with new and familiar people. Rebekah Hobbs (she/her) is a postgraduate research associate from the Yale School of Public Health LGBTQ Mental Health Initiative, a center devoted to understanding and improving the mental health of LGBTQ populations in the U.S. and around the world. Rebekah will discuss LGBTQ mental health in the U.S., and how research informs the studies the Initiative is currently conducting.

Rick is the grandnephew of Helene Kramer, a German Jewish Feminist Refugee, who worked with Bertha Pappenheim, founder of the Jewish feminist movement in Germany. Rick will speak about his multi-year exploration to piece together stories about his courageous great aunt.

Sharon will share the nationally recognized, revolutionary method, Music Memory, that promotes the love and knowledge of classical music through an in-depth study of great composers, their lives and their music.

CBST Chesed—Making Connections

Chesed, the Hebrew word for kindness or compassion, is the central Jewish value that centers CBST's Chesed Team. This intergenerational team focuses on providing community support and care to other CBST community members. Join our efforts to care for ourselves and each other, provide mutual support, and share in each other's joys and milestones.

CBST Chesed creates connections between members of all ages.
