Thank You Dottie for 22+ Years of Service!

Dottie Johnson

For the first time in 22 years, Dottie is not starting off the year as the Executive Assistant of our organization. Dottie made the decision this last year to finish out 2024 and retire along with her husband George so that they can dedicate more time to travel and family.

While we have honored George for his service as our former executive director a couple of times over the last two years, we wanted to ensure we gave Dottie her due!

Dottie has been the life blood of our organization serving so many behind the scenes. For those of you who know Dottie personally, you know how pivotal she has been– organizing, taking care of the details and providing her personal touch. In addition to her attention to details, her warm and inviting presence made planters and partners feel like family for so many years. Dottie's infectious personality is woven into every fiber of our organization.

Personally, it was Dottie's presence that made Stacie and I so at peace with our decision to join the organization two years ago. She ensured that our move across the country was as easy as possible and welcomed us to the PNW with such grace and kindness. As my assistant she made the transition smooth by consistently filling in the details and helping this newbie get his bearings.

Dottie will certainly be missed, but she will not be far away! Dottie has agreed to contract with Evergreen moving forward to assist our new Office Manager, Jenna Bertilson with historical data and office tasks as needed. You will also be seeing both George and Dottie at different functions representing Evergreen throughout the year. So they will still be around.

If you would like to send Dottie a card and congratulate her on her retirement, please send those to our PO Box address in the footer. We will make sure to get those to her.

Thank you for everything Dottie! You are loved and appreciated.
