December 2024 LWPC Meeting Recap


On December 11th, the LWPC gathered at the Walnut Hills Branch Library for our annual 2024 Partner Share Out meeting. We celebrated the incredible successes of our partners over the past year and set our sights on goals for 2025. A heartfelt thank-you to all our valued partners who joined us, including AmeriHealth Caritas, the American Heart Association, NAMI Urban Greater Cincinnati, United Healthcare Community Plan, The Community Builders, the Greater Cincinnati Regional Food Policy Council, Cradle Cincinnati, Metro, Tri-State Trails, and CHD Healthy Communities. Together, we're building a healthier, more connected community!

Live Work Play Cincinnati Coalition


Welcome to the monthly LWPC newsletter! Live-Work-Play-Cincinnati is a multi-sector coalition that works to improve health outcomes by addressing health-related social needs and social determinants of health at the community level.


Areas of focus include food and nutrition security, tobacco free living, active living, safe routes and complete streets, infant vitality, men's health, mental health, substance use disorders, and safe communities and housing.

About Jocquelene Pressley


Jocquelene Pressley is a Cincinnati Native. An Americorps VISTA alumni who is passionate about family and community. Jocquelene started to pursue a career in the Maternal and Infant Health space shortly after completing her Americorps year of service with the City of Cincinnati Health Department in the Health Promotions Program. Jocquelene likes to say her time with the Health Department equipped her with the ability to recognize social determinants of health and gave her the ability to implement changes. She credits her lived experiences for her successes with the clients she serves as a Birth Worker. Jocquelene holds multiple certificates which includes Community Health Worker, Dona Trained Doula, Birth with Spirit Certified Doula, Car Seat Installation Technician and Certified CPR and First Aid Instructor. Jocquelene has attended Postpartum Support International: Perinatal Mood Disorders components of care training . She also Facilitates a Postpartum Support Group in partnership with Cincinnati Queens Village. Jocquelene is the Founder and CEO of Cherished Hearts Family Support Services. A family vitality company that provides Doula services, resources, CPR and First aid Training, Car Seat installation services and Midwifery services. Jocquelene lives by the African Proverb: “A child not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth”.
