Hello!
We are a couple of weeks into the new year, and I hope 2025 is off to a great start! If you are someone who watches job postings, you might have noticed that the ANR Educator in Champaign County was recently posted and wondered what that was about. I am making a shift and have taken a different position in OSU Extension and am now a technician for the Farm Business Analysis and Benchmarking Program. This change has actually already taken place, but I am still working to wrap up a few programs that were already planned. I have written about the FBA program in this newsletter in the past, so hopefully you have heard of it. If not, you can find more information here: https://farmprofitability.osu.edu/. We would like to expand this program and are always looking for interested farm operations to partner with. If you would like to know more, please let me know, I would be glad to visit with you. My OSU email will remain the same, so please do not hesitate to reach out. If you are registered for the Pesticide Applicator Training, or New Fertilizer Applicator Training, don’t worry. Those are still happening as planned, thanks to neighboring county educators for keeping those programs on track. Another upcoming program that I will still be involved with, and am excited about, is the Beef Cow/Calf Workshop on February 28th. The flyer with more information is below. If you have beef cattle, I hope I’ll see you there! I will also still be involved with the Tri-County Ag Outlook Meeting on Feb. 21st. The flyer for this event is also below. We decided to change it up this year and move this program from Der Dutchman to Urbana, and The Farmers Daughter will be catering the breakfast. Come out and get an economic update and a great breakfast! If you know of anyone that would be interested in the ANR Educator position in Champaign County the advertisement with more info is below, please encourage them to apply by January 28th. Thank you all for your support over the last few years, please don’t be a stranger!
