January 2026

Dear Friends,

With 2026 underway, CAMBA’s critical work of showing up every day for New Yorkers in need is even more vital. Whether we are assisting vulnerable tenants as they adjust to their new housing; helping connect our immigrant neighbors with the resources they need during these uncertain times; or ensuring new parents have personalized support at a time of great joy; CAMBA is here to provide our community members the resources they need to improve their lives.

In this new year, I look forward to learning more about your interest in our work, so that we are sharing the stories, updates and opportunities that are meaningful to you. Please take a moment to complete our short survey.

Thank you for your generosity and belief in our mission and work. I’m grateful for our supporters and partners who care deeply about our neighbors and our City.

Thank you for standing with CAMBA –today and in the years ahead.

With gratitude,

CAMBA Healthy Families Helps

Families Navigate Parenthood

At one of life’s most vulnerable and transformative moments—pregnancy and the birth of a child—CAMBA’s Healthy Families program is there to ensure parents are not navigating it alone. Through trusted, relationship-based home visiting, the program supports families as they adjust to parenthood, strengthening their confidence, well-being, and ability to nurture healthy child development. Families receive education and guidance tailored to their needs, along with help identifying and addressing financial, emotional, and other stressors that can impact long-term stability.

In 2024, Healthy Families served 166 families through 1,436 home visits, connecting parents to critical resources including family support services, mental health counseling, job readiness assistance, and other social services. Families also had access to CAMBA’s emergency food pantry and essential donated items such as clothing, toys, and books—meeting immediate needs while supporting healthier futures.

Every five years, Healthy Families programs nationwide undergo a rigorous national accreditation review. In 2024, CAMBA was proud to be selected as one of only 15 sites statewide to receive an in-depth peer review visit as part of the Healthy Families New York system’s re-accreditation process.

Following a three-day site visit and in-depth review by peer reviewers from Healthy Families America, CAMBA’s Healthy Families program was successfully re-accredited in 2025—affirming the high-quality, family-centered services delivered every day.
