During the month of December, CYF Ministries was blessed as our children, from preschool through 5th grade, shared the story of Christ’s birth through a wonderful Christmas Story program.
OSLC's fun Caring and Sharing event, hosted by the Music & Worship team, was a great success with OSLC Youth holding a bake sale that raised money for youth activities and summer camp opportunities.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day worship services at Our Saviour’s were beautiful and meaningful, bringing together our kids, youth, and families to celebrate the birth of Jesus and the hope He brings to the world.
With grateful hearts, we look forward to a new year filled with faith, fellowship, and fun activities!

Cost: The movie is free!! $5/person for meal, $20 max/household for meal
Sign up: Sign up on the CYF Board in the rotunda at OSLC or by emailing Rachael, CYF Administrative Specialist. Sign up is not required but helpful for food planning.

CYF-Hosted Feed My Starving Children
Wednesday, January 14, 6:45pm-8:45pm
Ages 5 + are welcome! Need to be 5 years old to participate with parent and need to be 6th grade to participate without parent/guardian.
We will meet to check-in at 6:45 p.m. at the Coon Rapids Feed My Starving Children Location. Our shift is from 7:00 p.m.- 8:45 p.m. Pickup is at 8:45 p.m.

Participants are responsible for providing their own transportation.
Feed My Starving Children takes monetary donations and also has a store available on site. Purchases benefit the organization and the people around the world that they serve. Participants welcome to bring money to donate or shop in the store on site.

CYF Volunteer Leadership Team
The team will be meeting once a month for planning, support and leadership opportunities. We are always open to more adults joining us!

J-Term Children's Ministries Programming
During the month of January Children's Ministries Programming will look a little different.
January 11, 18, and 25 and February 4 we will have Wiggle Worship!

We have a wonderful group of volunteers that have accepted the call to serve on our Children, Youth, and Family Ministry Transformation Team.
They have been working behind the scenes to define and evaluate our current ministry programming and staffing. Over the next two weeks, we would like to invite you to give us your perspective as well. To help gather your opinions, we have created a brief survey to draw out your thoughts and dreams for CYF ministry at Our Saviour’s. This survey will only take 10-15 minutes.

Confirmation Families!
Global Health Ministries (GHM) focuses on strengthening health systems through access to medical equipment and supplies.
They have partnered for decades in resource-poor settings.
They journey together with brothers and sisters in Christ, where Lutheran churches manage hospitals, clinics, and grassroots efforts - all focused on improving the health of even the most vulnerable.
Join us to work with this faithful nonprofit!

A reminder email will be sent on Tuesdays to the families who are scheduled to help the following Wednesday. If you are unable to attend your scheduled evening, please find another family to switch with. In the event that you are unable to switch with another family, please contact Rachael Pearson, CYF Administrative Specialist, rpearson@oursaviourslc.org. | | | Any adult (18+) family member of students is welcome to fulfill this role! 2026 Summer Mission Trip!

Winston-Salem, North Carolina
Current 8th to 12th graders
We will partner with The Dwelling, a ministry that walks alongside and learns from neighbors experiencing homelessness. Together, we’ll serve, learn, and grow in what it means to follow Jesus in community and compassion.
This trip is open to all current 8th–12th graders, and we can’t wait to see how God will work through this experience!

Who: Current 9th-12th Graders
What: Weekly gathering for fellowship, Bible study and worship
Where: OSLC Youth Room
When: Sundays, 9am-10:15am
Why: To grow in our faith, relationships with one another and continue down our journey together
Current Bible Study: "Echo the Story 36" is a 36-week Bible overview for youth using storytelling, creative reflection, and dialogue. Through this experiential approach, students find meaning and identity in the biblical narrative.
