A new year brings a fresh start, and with the Pennsylvania budget finally wrapped up, there’s room to look ahead again. January opens the door to new grant opportunities and a sense of momentum for organizations ready to grow. It’s a good moment to reset, refocus, and move into the next round of budget conversations with steady optimism.

Below you will a few grant opportunities that are currently open and accepting applications. 

PHMC: Keystone Historic Preservation Grant

Grants are available for non-profit organizations or public agencies that own or support a publicly accessible historic property listed by the National Register of Historic Places. The grant assists organizations and projects involving rehabilitation, preservation, or restoration construction projects.

DMVA: Veteran Service Organization Grants

The Veteran Service Organization (VSO) grant provides funding to organizations that advocate for Pennsylvania veterans by improving their lives.

DHS: Children's Trust Fund Grants

This program seeks applications for the Children’s Trust Fund (CTF) grant to promote primary and secondary child abuse and neglect prevention programs in community-based settings to prevent abuse and neglect of children in the Commonwealth. Eligible organizations include those providing direct services and meeting the criteria in this Request for Applications (RFA).

PCCD: 2026 Substance Abuse Education and Demand Reduction (SAEDR) Category 1 Grants

These funds are meant to support projects designed to educate the public about the dangers of substance abuse and reduce the demand for these substances. Eligibility is open to all nonprofit organizations.
