FCA Day at Southern Calvert Baptist

Earlier this month, Southern Calvert Baptist church held an FCA centric church service.

In this service, students gave testimonies about the impact of the FCA huddles in the local schools, the impact of power camps, and the importance of living out your faith on your sports team.

As an FCA staff member, sometimes I can be so close and involved with the ministry that I lose sight of the impact it is having on the athletes. Hearing these testimonies given by athletes all across the county was a great reminder that the Lord is working whether I see it or not. Athletes' lives are being changed by God through the work of the laborers in the field.

"Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain." 1 Corinthians 15:58

Life Update

I am excited to share that I will be going to our FCA Realtime Conference in Orlando, Florida from February 19-22. This conference is for all the FCA staff in the world, and is a time for worship, fellowship and learning from different speakers. I looking forward to this event and excited for what the Lord has in store through it!

I am currently still searching for an office space in the Calvert County area, so if you are aware of an office space feel free to let me know!

Student-led worship at NHS

A few weeks ago, the students in Northern High School's FCA held praise and worship during their huddle.

I have been in many young adult settings with worship led by my peers, but there is something about youth leading worship in their school that is so inspiring to me. With all the pressures and stresses of high school, these students chose to cast those aside during this time and lead their classmates in worship, something I definitely would not have done when I was in high school. I've learned that sometimes we need to do less "things" for God, and just worship Him and sit with Him. This was evident of that. The Lord is continuing to teach me in this ministry, just as much as I am ministering to others.

"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!" Psalm 150:6

The start of the new year means a new FCA theme! This year's theme is "Proven". Check out this video to learn more.
