Go within every day and find the inner strength so that the world will not blow your candle out. ―Katherine Dunham
Every great dream begins with a dreamer.
Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars, to change the world.

Envisioning with Intention in Uncertain Times
As our world continues to move through increasing chaos, each of us is being called to discern how we can best express our concerns and advocate for good—while also nurturing our bodies and souls, tending our dreams, and creating our next steps with intention.
With that in mind, I decided to organize a vision board workshop
for women in my community. This decision came with some hesitation, as I wasn’t convinced I was ready to return to facilitating a group.
Thankfully, I asked for guidance from Divine Mother, and she has carried me through every step of the process.
We now have 13 kindred spirits who will join this creative unfolding.
In this newsletter,
I want to share some of what I’ve learned and some of what I’ll be covering in the workshop.
The ongoing uncertainty and tragedies in our world can leave us feeling stuck and overwhelmed.
The Process of Creating A Vision Board
*Invites you to define exactly what you want in different life areas
*Boosts motivation and focus
*Helps align daily choices with your bigger picture, making you more likely to take steps towards your dreams.
*Serves as a visual reminder to help your subconscious and your spirit guide you to opportunities that match the images on your board.
There are many ways to create a vision board.
You can work digitally using platforms like Pinterest or Canva, or you can create a physical board using a bulletin board, poster board, foam board, or even a journal.
If you are creating a physical board you will need:
your board or journal, a glue stick, large and small scissors, markers, and optional additional trimmings like ribbons, flowers, glitter etc and of course images!
As a SoulCollage® facilitator, I work with images organized into these categories and these are the same we will be using for our vision boards:
Women, Men, Children, Backgrounds, Spiritual, Archetypal, and Things.
Images can be sourced from:
Magazines like National Geographic, travel, nature, art, and spiritual magazines. You may choose to do online searches, create them with AI and then print or use digitally.
Books from thrift stores or used online shops can be treasure troves for beautiful imagery. For this workshop, I purchased used books about goddesses, angels, and Quan Yin to complement my collection of spiritual and archetypal images. I also found a large Anne Geddes coffee table book at Goodwill, giving me an abundance of stunning images of babies, children, and flowers.
A vital part of envisioning is the preparatory journaling
that helps clarify what you want for the new year. Even more important than the *what* is the *why*. Why does this matter to you? What sensations arise in your body when you imagine or embody this intention?
Guided meditation can support this process, (see featured meditations below!) and thoughtful journaling questions can help bring clarity and depth.
Your vision board may reflect a range of intentions such as:
health, career, relationships, spirituality, giving back, travel. Alternatively you might focus solely on just one of those areas. You might also choose to create a board solely about gratitude. Your board may be a more intuitive dreamlike blend of images and symbols that inspire you to bring their energy into your daily life.
Equally important to creating your board is keeping it alive throughout the year.
This can mean adding to it, revising it, or simply engaging with it regularly. Most of all, it involves incorporating daily rituals that embody your intentions; bringing them into your life through conscious choices and ways of being.
I wrote about this collage in the November Newsletter. It is on the wall just above my bathtub. Despite it not being a traditional vision board, and despite my amateur skills, I find daily inspiration from this whimsical gathering of archetypal figures!
*The tree, leaves, and flowers
symbolize wisdom, protection, vitality and growth as well as the energy of continued healing.
*The two women dancing
inspire playfulness and a reminder to allow my body to move, especially when life feels stuck and heavy.
*The bold crone wearing a backward baseball cap and holding a can of spray paint is definitely one of my creative muses!
*Frida Kahlo inspires me at so many levels;
especially her perseverance in the midst of countless challenges, and her amazing, honest and colorful style of art.
*Glinda the good witch reminds me of her quote :
"You've always had the power, my dear. You just had to learn it for yourself."
*Xenia Warrior Princess
inspires me to not give in to apathy but rather to tap deep into my inner well of wisdom and find the energy to be courageous and bold.
So during my daily bathing ritual, these images have been a delightful source of smiles, motivation and inspiration!
There is so much more that could be shared, but I hope this is enough to inspire you to find your unique way of bringing your dreams and intentions into 2026.
May you trust the process, and let Divine Guidance be your companion and energizer every step of the way.

Empowering Wise Woman Affirmations
These Wise Woman Affirmations are written to inspire you, especially after a life-altering experience when you know you need to re-create yourself in a new way.
Referenced in these affirmations is our "Third Act" of life; a time when we create a more integrated vision of our lives, our legacy, and our calling. It is described by some to be the "second half" of life.
I became a SoulCollage® facilitator in 2012. (This soulful and creative process of collaging a deck of cards was birthed by Seena Frost PhD.) I love to reflect on and dialogue with the cards that I create.
From this dialogue emerges important messages. These affirmations were inspired from my collages many years ago. They are an expression of Divine reassurance and presence; our Inner Wise Woman can help us remember the depth and breadth of our inner resources.
It has been a delightful experience for me to return to this meditation and visually enliven into a video format. I hope these affirmations and images inspire you today. Empowering Music by LynneMusic "Through the Mirror"
