Happy New Year from NCFRW!
I hope you were able to enjoy a wonderful holiday season surrounded by family and loved ones. As we turn the page on a new year, it’s time to refocus our energy and set our sights on the critical 2026 Midterm Elections.
North Carolina has a U.S. Senate seat to hold, and Roy Cooper is already positioning himself to buy his way into Washington. The stakes could not be higher, and Republican women will once again be on the front lines—engaged, informed, and ready to lead.
We will kick off 2026 with our first NCFRW meeting of the year, January 31–February 1 in Beaufort, North Carolina. This meeting will feature outstanding speakers and important updates on programs and initiatives impacting your local clubs, as well as efforts at the state and national levels.
Be sure to join us that Friday night for a Congressional Forum for the new Congressional District 1—an excellent opportunity to hear directly from those seeking to represent us.
We are excited to start the year strong and look forward to seeing you in Beaufort.
NCFRW is ready for 2026. Bring on the midterms!
Erica Vedeikis

Rise up and go forward! Together, hand-in-hand in prayer and hand-in-hand in valiant action.
When we look into the time of the American Revolution in our beautiful state of North Carolina, women were instrumental in keeping life at home and their community strong. As their husbands and family members were on the battlefield, these incredible women were working hard at hearth and home along with making sure their neighbors were supported as well.

Some Tips on How to Best Message on Immigration to Hispanics
America and Hispanics share a deep and enduring history. Hispanics have been part of this land since the 15th century, and while our influence began modestly, it has steadily grown over time. Our story is beautifully woven into the fabric of American history.
More than 10,000 Hispanics fought in the Civil War, most on the Union side. Around 20,000 served in World War I, and more than 400,000 fought bravely in World War II.
Today, Hispanics represent nearly 20% of the U.S. population about 65 million people, making us the nation’s second-largest demographic group. We generate $1.2 trillion in GDP and wield more than $4.1 trillion in purchasing power. Nearly 18% of active-duty U.S. military members are Hispanic.
We carry a rich tradition of values deeply rooted in Scripture, and family is central to our culture. We are entrepreneurs, business owners, scientists, doctors, lawyers, musicians, pastors, and agents of change within our communities. We are Americans (some by birth, some by choice) and most of us are deeply grateful to live in a country that has provided opportunity and freedom. Within the Hispanic community, women often serve as matriarchs and play a significant role in
shaping household decisions. That’s where we come in, if can influence the women we significantly impact the home

New Regional Map for NCFRW Presented at Fall Board Meeting
At the request of the Executive Committee in May, Michele Nix (Crystal Coast RW) and Stephanie Franks (Gaston County RWC) were tasked with reviewing the current map and regions of the NCFRW and to present an update to the map that would best serve all of our clubs. At the Fall Board Meeting, they presented the map below, increasing our Regions from 5 to 7. In January, at our Winter Board Meeting, we will vote on a change to our NCFRW Bylaws to allow for the addition of 2 Regions, creating 2 new Regional VPs. The Regions will follow the NFRW naming convention of using numbers.
Acceptance of this map is contingent upon approval of the Bylaws change. Until that time, clubs will remain in their current regions under their current Regional VP.

Your Club Bylaws are Everyone's Bylaws
Every member plays a vital role in keeping our clubs strong, and that begins with understanding your club’s bylaws. These rules aren’t just for officers—they guide how we conduct business, make decisions, and protect fairness within our organization.
I encourage every member to take a few minutes between now and your January club meeting to refresh yourself with your bylaws. An informed membership strengthens our clubs, supports our leaders, and ensures we are all working together with clarity and purpose.
