January 2026 Newsletter

"Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ." Romans 10:17 NIV

Faith is not built in a moment, but through daily encounters with God’s Word. As we step into 2026, may we intentionally set aside time each day to hear His voice, know His heart, and allow our faith to be strengthened and renewed.

A Note of Thanks from Matt

As we step into 2026, the words of Lamentations 3:22–23 come to mind: “Because of the Lord’s faithful love we do not perish, for His mercies never end. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” A new year reminds us not only of fresh beginnings, but of God’s steady faithfulness that carries us forward.

As we reflect on 2025, we are grateful for all that God has accomplished through Ministry Builders. From churches completed and pastors encouraged to communities strengthened, we have seen the Lord work in ways that only He can. None of this would be possible without your prayers, generosity, and faithful partnership.

Looking ahead, we enter this year with humility and expectation. While plans are being made and projects prepared, our commitment remains the same—to listen closely for God’s direction and to serve where He leads. We invite you to pray with us for wisdom, discernment, and continued provision, and to consider how God may be calling you to engage with Ministry Builders in the year ahead.

Thank you for walking alongside us in this mission. May we move forward together, trusting the God whose mercies are new every morning.

With gratitude,

Matt Payne

Christmas in Chiapas

Christmas in Chiapas was a huge success! We served 100 orphans by taking them shopping at Suburbia, where each child picked out two outfits, shoes, pajamas, socks, and underwear. After shopping, everyone enjoyed lunch at McDonald’s. Later, the team went shopping to choose Christmas gifts based on what they learned about each child. The Christmas party the next day was full of energy as each child danced to the front to receive their present. Our team acted out the Christmas story and was blessed by the children’s beautiful songs and performances.

In the mountains of Chiapas, we also handed out 700 bags filled with fruit, candy, small toys, and a Tzotzil sticker/coloring book that shared the Christmas story. Our team visited five churches, singing and sharing the story of Jesus with children in these communities. In addition, we provided 250 of these bags to 11 kids bible schools in Tuxtla and surrounding areas

We are so thankful for everyone who supported this project. You helped bring the joy of Christmas to so many children!Dna

Thank you for being so supportive of Ministry Builders! Your support helps us continue to be a part of sharing the love of Christ in Mexico. We believe that God will continue to change lives and impact future generations!
