New stimulating Current Events and Politics courses all begin this coming week.
Discuss a variety of challenging topics with a group of curious, well-informed and friendly news junkies in new sessions of Let's Talk Current Events: Topics in the News. Edward Ginsberg leads the Tuesday morning in-person classes (Course 13679); Alfred Hunt leads online classes on Wednesday mornings (Course 13731) and Thursday mornings Course 13732).
Tackle different moral dilemmas and examine all angles of complex real world scenarios in which the answers are not clear and decisions have dramatic consequences. Ginsberg's popular discussion class, Moral Dilemmas, Case Studies in Justice, Ethics, and Morality (Course 13728), resumes on Tuesday mornings. Class will not repeat any of the scenarios covered in previous terms.
Recently added, Hunt will introduce Warfare’s Role in American Society (Course 13834) on Thursday afternoons. Investigate the complex "art of war," a seemingly inevitable force initiated by politics, sanctified by religion, fueled by economics, symbolizing valor and destruction. Through lectures and discussion, analyze the causes and effects of conflicts throughout history, and how warfare continues to shape the fabric of American society.
All these classes begin soon. Register now to secure your spot.
