FAMILY: I have a 14-year-old son, 3 siblings and their families, and my parents still live in the area.

OCCUPATION: Geary County Register of Deeds

HOBBIES: Fishing, reading, crafting and I love a good weekend nap!

WHY DID YOU WANT TO GET INVOLVED WITH UNITED WAY?

I wanted to get more involved with the community. When the opportunity came up, I felt this was a good way to give back to the community I was raised in and that I currently serve in a professional capacity.

WHAT DOES “LIVE UNITED” MEAN TO YOU?

To me, Live United means always looking for ways to help those around us. Helping does not always equal a financial commitment, and I think just being more aware of the needs around us gets us closer to finding solutions to best serve our communities.

Tax Assistance Program

Our amazing tax volunteers are busy, and appointments are filling up fast. Thank you for helping families navigate tax season with confidence!

Allocations

We are halfway through! This is how we provide funding to our partner agencies, offering a great opportunity to learn more about us, our partners, and how we collaborate.

February 24th, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM 20% of the proceeds will go to support United Way JCGC and our work within the community.

Volunteer Appreciation

April 24th, 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM. Join us in celebrating our accomplishments and recognizing one volunteer as the Ben Kitchens' Volunteer of the Year. If you would like to nominate someone, you can visit our website, RSVP, and submit your nomination.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Do you have an hour or two a week that you wouldn't mind answering phones, scheduling, and basic office work? We are looking for volunteers to help at the office, Mon-Fri. You can pick a day or time that works best for you!
