Every Member in Ministry Sunday

Serve in the Church, the Community, & the World – At First Church, we believe God has called and equipped every member to serve so that we can be faithful to our mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Today we passed out Every Member in Ministry interest cards during all services. Together we completed the cards and recommit ourselves to uphold the church with our prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. If you did not get a chance to fill out out in-person we invite you to fill out an online interest form.

We encourage you to use the booklet at learn more about the many opportunities to grow and serve at First Church. You can also view it at FUMCPensacola.com/Serve. We invite you to pay attention to where God is nudging you to grow and serve out of your giftedness.

Church Council Meeting

Senior Pastor's Bible Study

After dinner, join us for Pastor Geoffrey’s new study on “Jesus and the Gospels.” In week one we learned what a gospel is and why we have four of them. This week we continue our deeper dive into each gospel account with Matthew: The Community of Discipleship. By the end of the six weeks, we will gain a fuller understanding of the Good News of Jesus Christ. Previous classes can be viewed HERE. Nursery for infants to 2-year-olds is available to parents attending classes and choir practice

We want to invite everyone to join us in three weeks for Night of the Classics, a special dinner and live music show to benefit our congregation’s partnership with the United Methodist Church in Tanzania. Attendees will get to enjoy a delicious three course meal prepared by Susie Schmidt and Ruth’s Kitchen, various live music acts playing classic hits from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, and we’ll get to support our sister church in Tanzania. Shows will be on both Friday night, February 10, and Saturday night, February 11, at 6:00pm in the Activity Center. Please note that free childcare will be available at the Friday show only.

Souper Bowl Sunday

The Youth are hosting their annual SOUPer Bowl Sunday for Manna Food Bank. All collections will be given to Manna to help support our community in need.
