Mary Magdalene Church is an inclusive church in the Catholic tradition where people from all faiths and backgrounds are welcome to the Lord’s table. We strive to live the values that Jesus taught, to honor and respect each individual and to share the joy of God’s unconditional love in our community and beyond. | | |
~A Message from the Social Justice Committee ~
Greetings!
The Social Justice Committee created a comprehensive and thorough list of services available that are offered in our community.
The list can be accessed on the Mary Magdalene Church website. Once on the page, head to the “Connect” tab and click on the “Community Resource” button in the drop down menu. You can also access the page by clicking here.
The following resources include:
● Crisis Lines
● Disability and Accessibility
● Resources for LGBTQI Individuals, Families and Allies
● Support for Immigrants and Migrants
● Alcohol/Drug Abuse Services
● Mental Health Services
● Unhomed/Houseless Help
● Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Support
● Food Assistance
● Bereavement Support
● Voting Rights
● Aging Population
● Discrimination
The resource list is a living document which is updated often. Please make us aware of any services that should be added or removed from the list. Feedback from the community is encouraged and vital in supporting each other!
Please send any feedback or comments to: Deacon Betty or Joyce Martelli
In a world where fear feels like the norm, it’s important to remember that support is available for all. As Fred Roger has said: “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping'."
Thank you all for your ongoing support with our efforts and we hope you find this list helpful.
With love,
MMC Social Justice Committee

The young members of our community have been focused on the crises unfolding in

We encourage the members of Mary Magdalene Church to join us in sending their own
letters to our legislative representatives. Click here for names and addresses.

~Ways to Give to MMC~
Thank you, as always, for your generosity! We have numerous ways you can choose to donate. You can use the button below to make a one-time or recurring donation, or you can contact our Office Administrator, Sue Gerber, to set up ongoing support.
If you are at least 73 years old and take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from your IRA each year, consider donating some of those funds as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) to Mary Magdalene Church and enjoy some tax savings at the same time!
We now have a Can Shack located in our parking lot where you can return your NYS redeemable containers. Just bag your bottles and cans in a regular kitchen garbage bag, making sure they are empty and clean, and place them in the secure opening whenever you are here! Every bag makes a difference!
