District Dinner 2020

Saturday, January 25 - This Saturday, we will be recognizing more than 30 people (see list here!) who were nominated by each unit for their dedication to Scouting. All are invited to the dinner. RSVP here. 
Eagle Scout Boards of Review

Changed for 2020! Attention parents and Scouts: Eagle boards have changed date and location. All reviews will now take place the 4th Tuesdays at Bethany Lutheran on Clark and Arbor at 7pm. See info here. 
Railroading Merit Badge
Railroad Merit Badge 

Saturday, March 28 - The Los Angeles Railroad Heritage Foundation is hosting a Merit Badge Class in downtown Los Angeles. Classes are designed to teach Scouts about railroad history, contemporary operations and careers, and -- most importantly -- safety. 
Donor Tax Contribution Letters

For those who gave a charitable contribution to help support our local programs in 2019, be on the lookout for your summary of contributions for tax purposes coming in the mail. Questions, please email Marc.

Last weekend our office parking lot was converted into a derby workshop for dozens of future winning cars! Check out photos here of Scouts and their parents designing, cutting, sawing, sanding, and adjusting their own unique pinewood derby cars. 
Climbing: Learn the Ropes

February 15 - Great opportunity  for adult leaders to learn how to lead your group of Scouts in a safe climbing. Instruction on equipment, knots, equipment care, anchor systems, health and safety, dealing with
fear, commands, techniques, belaying and more.
Friends of Scouting 2020

As we do every year, we will be asking all parents and Scout leaders to make a charitable contribution to support our local Scouting program for 2020. Many people believe their membership dues support the LBAC but they don't. We rely on member support.
