Rise Against Hunger 2023 was a record breaking evening of service! We had nearly 200 volunteers who filled bags of food for 25,000 people in 65 minutes of packing time! What a joy it is to serve Christ and spread His love to the world with you! Click the video above to view more!

Wednesday Evenings for All Ages

Resuming This Week!

There is something for all ages on Wednesdays at church!

The evening begins with a wonderful dinner at the Fellowship Cafe! The menu for January 25 is Brinner (breakfast for dinner): Fruit salad, scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese grits, sausage gravy and biscuits. Please RSVP using the link below- greatly appreciated but not required!

Our Adult Study in the Sanctuary will be “Adult Confirmation,” a revisiting of the foundations of our faith. Nursery, Elementary, and Youth meet in the Education Building.

Volunteers are needed to help prep (Tuesdays) and cook (Wednesdays) in the Fellowship Cafe! Call the church to sign-up.

Volunteers Needed for Mobile Food Pantry

February 17, April 14, June 16

Additional volunteers are needed every other month when our church hosts the Mobile Food Pantry. There are two shifts available: setup is 7:00-9:00am and our new distribution time is 9:30-11:30am. Each month, families in need of support are given meat, vegetables, and more to sustain them (our church hosts ever other month, taking turns with Holy Spirit Catholic Church). Food is sorted and organized in the gym and distributed via drive-thru in the parking lot of the Activities Center. Please consider giving of your time. Please email to sign-up.

Family Promise is an organization committed to combating family homelessness by partnering with local churches to provide support and temporary shelter for families in crisis. Following several years of planning and our church financially supporting the launch of Pensacola's Family Promise, we hope to be able to begin the process of sheltering families in the near future here on our campus. Peanut Butter Extravaganza

Thanks to the combined efforts of the Redemption Store, Mission Board, Backpack Program, Peanut Growers of NW FL, and several sets of helping hands, hundreds of jars of peanut butter are ready to be given to children and families in our community who need a little extra help! Thank you to those who serve in so many ways so that God's love may be known through your kindness.

Partners in Education: Donuts and Coffee

Teachers and Education staff in our area (7 schools with 670 staff) were welcomed back to school with coffee and donuts courtesy of Perdido Bay UMC Partners in Education, led by Sharon Maddox and her team of volunteers. We have already received feedback about just how much it meant to them to be thought of and encouraged as they began a new semester. Thank you for being the heart of the community!

Help Needed in Barnabas Ministry

Barnabas exists to provide meals for those who are facing loss, medical difficulties, and more. During this time, our cooks have been especially busy and could use some extra helping hands. Additionally, if you're not interested in preparing meals but would like to help in other ways, we also need delivery drivers or persons to cook frozen pre-prepared meals. Thank you for considering being a part of this ministry of comfort and encouragement. 

Grumpy Old Men Group: Join us!

Come and be a part of the Grumpy Old Men - a service oriented group that meets each Thursday at 8:00am in the Activities Center for fellowship and planning projects. We would love to have you join us- young or old, man or woman! 

Come visit "The Way" nature trail, which was recently repaired and reopened, thanks to our Grumpies!

Gracefully Made Crafting Group

Yesterday the group made window clings! What a fantastic reminder that we should always cling to our faith that God, the father is always with us in the Holy Spirit and that his Grace is free for us to accept! If you'd like more info on how to join this monthly crafting group, email

Quilters on the Key

1st and 3rd Thursdays, 9:30am-12:30pm

You're invited to join this group for a time of fellowship and quilting in the Activities Center. Quilts and other items are crafted and given to persons facing difficult situations as a gesture of comfort and thoughtfulness. Use your talents to spread the love of God as part of this important group of service and fellowship.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

1st and 3rd Wednesdays, 2:00-4:00pm
The Prayer Shawl Ministry exists to knit and crochet blankets and other items of comfort and encouragement. These items are given to newborn babies, those facing health issues, and more. Come and be a part of this group of fellowship and giving- all are welcome! It's a wonderful time of getting to know others while also making a difference for those who need to feel God's care.

College & Career Donuts & Discussion

1st and 3rd Sundays of the Month, 10:10am

Young Adults ages 18-25 are invited to Room 207 in the Activities Center for a time of connection with God and one another. We will meet every other Sunday during the Sunday School hour.

Intercessory Prayer Group Meeting

Tuesdays at 8:30am
You are invited to join our intercessors in the Gathering Lobby for their weekly prayer meeting. If you have a prayer need that you would like to add to the prayer list, email it to or you may use our App to submit your prayer request. Additionally, you may fill out a prayer request card at the Hospitality Desk.

Nursery, Elementary, & Youth Information

Nursery (8 weeks - Pre-K)

A nursery is available for all church services and many activities. Wee Worship takes place Sunday mornings during Worship Services. Preschool Sunday school is at 10:00am. Contact for more information!

Upcoming Elementary and Youth Retreats

Parents of 3rd through 12th grade students, be sure to be on the lookout for emailed info on the upcoming Winter Retreats! 3rd-5th Graders will attend Winter Camp at Camp Baldwin the weekend of February 10; and Youth will go to Blue Lake Camp on the weekend of February 17. Please email (3-5th graders), or (6-12th graders) for further information. 

PBUMC Kids Ministry (Elementary: K - 5th Grade)

PBUMC Kids Ministry is for children in Kindergarten through 5th Grades. Each Sunday morning is Children's Worship at both 9:00am and 11:00am. At 10:00am we have Sunday School. Wednesdays we meet from 5:00-7:00pm.  Email to be placed on our email list or to find out more.

The Wave Student Ministry (for 6th-12th Grades)

All 6th-12th graders are invited to Sunday school each week at 10:10am in the Youth Room and Sunday Gym Night each week from 4:00-6:00pm in the Activities Center, Dinner provided. Wednesday evening youth takes place from 5:00-7:00pm. Email for more information.

Youth Winter Retreat Blue Lake Camp – Andalusia, AL February 17-19, 2023 

COST: $215 


Our winter retreat is coming up soon, we will go away for a weekend of worship and fellowship at Camp Blue Lake! We will leave Friday at 6pm and return Monday afternoon (aiming for noon). We have a total of 28 spots for this trip, so please let me know if you would like to chaperone or your teen would like to attend so I can save your spots!
