Dear Friends,
We have missed you all so much and are so thrilled to be back!
These past few months have escaped us, but as they say, "Time flies when you're having fun!"
We are grateful for the experiences 2022 brought, and boy are we excited for 2023 because Napa Cafe will be turning 25! Be sure to keep an extra eye out to see what is in store to celebrate! We are looking forward to another fabulous year with you.🥳
Our 11th Annual Heart Full of Soul fundraising dinner was a hit! We are so thankful for the opportunity to help raise funds for Stax Music Academy while bringing awareness to this wonderful organization! Over the past 11 years, Heart Full of Soul has become the Academy's largest annual fundraiser, with over $500,000 raised for their program!
We had a blast ending 2022 with a bang! This New Year’s Eve we offered an exclusive menu to celebrate the ending of a new year and the beginning of an even better one! We are so grateful for those who were able to join us and allowed us to serve them their last meal of 2022 - it was an honor!💖
Here's what you can look forward to in this newsletter:

11th Annual Heart Full of Soul
|
|
We are excited to announce that our annual Heart Full of Soul fundraising dinner has raised over $500,000 over these past 11 years for Stax Music Academy!✨
Thank you so much to those who attended the 11th annual Heart Full of Soul and made this year's celebration the biggest one yet!
We couldn't think of a more fitting tribute to the music that helped put Memphis on the map by such legends as Elvis Presley, Tina Turner, Rufus, and Carla Thomas, Sam & Dave, Otis Redding, and the late, great Jerry Lee Lewis. This year, we celebrated just that: Memphis music!
Every year since the first Heart Full of Soul in 2012, this event has become even more unique and special. Now the Stax Music Academy’s largest annual fundraiser, after the 11th annual event, we have raised close to half a million dollars for these deserving students.
Today, at the original site of Stax Records, stands the Stax Music Academy. The Music Academy is home to an after-school and summer music program designed to inspire Memphis youth and it’s based on the Stax legacy. With an equal combination of music, education, and youth development, the Stax Music Academy is helping young people carry on that legacy and become our artists of the future.
My heart is full when I imagine the number of kids these proceeds have helped!
On behalf of every Stax Music Academy student whose future was opened because of you… thank you, thank you, thank you!

This month my Hastings Tastings is a very special pick… wild blueberry juice!
Many people have a healthier lifestyle on their agenda at the beginning of a new year. I want to share with you a very healing and delicious juice that’s bottled for you and ready to drink. It’s a great substitute to sip at parties instead of a cocktail or glass of wine. Often I show up at parties with Wyman’s Wild Blueberry juice as my drink of choice… aren’t I fun! 🤣🤣🤣
Wild blueberries (not to be mistaken for the cultivated ones usually in your produce department) are tiny little berries with enormous health benefits. They rank as the highest known antioxidant on the planet. The wild blueberry bush cannot be destroyed and will always grow back no matter what it endures. The berries of this divine plant bring you the same life giving properties, too. It is the ULTIMATE healing food.
I buy cases of this for my own personal consumption. I actually have a refrigerator at my house dedicated to this precious nectar. I absolutely love how great I feel each day seconds after having my first sip. Let me know if you want to hear more about it the next time I see you. I hope you give it a swirl!

Recipe of the Month: Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie
|
|
This smoothie is not only delicious, it's also perfectly designed to include five key ingredients (wild blueberries (or juice) cilantro, dulse, spirulina, and barley grass juice powder) that work together in synergy to pull heavy metals like mercury, lead, aluminum, nickel, copper, and cadmium out of your organs where they accumulate.
These metal particles poison our bodies and can inflict damage on virtually every system and organ, including our brain, liver, digestive system, and other parts of our nervous system. Toxic heavy metals put an immense burden on our immune system.
It's virtually impossible not to take in a certain amount of these toxic heavy metals in our daily life so it's important to our health that we get them out before they can wreak further havoc on our health. Thankfully, it's relatively simple to remove them from our organs if we consume the right foods.
Adding this smoothie to your daily routine will safely and effectively remove heavy metals from your body. I recommend making it a daily habit for the rest of your life for the best results.
You will see remarkable improvements in mental clarity, mood, immune system, energy, and skin vitality. It’s an overall life lift!
