Communities in Charge - Charger Incentive
- Funds cover up to $6,500 per Level 2 AC port or 100% of eligible costs, whichever is less.
- Multifamily housing sites can receive an additional $2,000 towards eligible costs.
- Project sites for Tribal government, Tribal entity, or non-governmental organizations serving Tribal communities can receive an additional $3,500 towards eligible costs.
- At least four and up to twenty connectors are allowed for most project sites. Multifamily housing and workplace projects may have a maximum of forty connectors.
- Applications are open through January 31, 2025.

The DOE closed its loan agreement with the Rivian for up to $6.6 billion in financing for its new EV plant in Georgia. The plant will manufacture Rivian's midsize R2 electric SUV.
