New ticket software and new ticket formats coming January 25, 2016!

This is a follow-up communication regarding the software changes happening at NM811 this month.

As you may already know, we have become a partner of an organization called Progressive Partnering. Along with the partnership, we have acquired a new ticket management software for the one call center named GeoCall. GeoCall includes an internal system that our customer service representatives will use, as well as an enhanced Web Portal where contractors can enter locate requests online, and members can provide positive response to the locate requests. We will be rolling out a mobile application for tickets and positive response later on in 2016.

Our software changeover is scheduled for January 25, 2016 at 7:00AM. Please be prepared for the January 25 th date with your automated systems. All automated systems being used, as far as we know, have compatibility with GeoCall. Please contact your ticket management software provider as soon as possible to alert them of this change.

Because of the changes in the ticket management software, we will also be updating the outbound ticket format and it will be customized depending on the type of ticket. If you currently use ticket management software to receive locates and distribute them to your line locators, this new ticket format will likely require you to make a few changes to allow your ticket management software to receive the locate requests. If you currently receive tickets via email or fax, you shouldn't experience any issues with the new ticket format. Please Click Here to view the new ticket format.

Because of the GeoCall software changes, we will also be offering free ticket management web based program to each underground facility owner (UFO) who is a member of NM811 called KorWeb Basic. This tool will allow a UFO to manage their tickets through the web, assign them to individuals for completion, and keep a digital record of locates performed. If you are interested in taking advantage of this free software, please contact John Christianson from Korterra at jpchristi@aol.com

If you have any questions about the upcoming changes here at New Mexico 811, please contact our Member Help Desk by sending an email to information@nm811.org.

Sincerely,
