Our annual church picnic will be on Sunday, January 29 at noon at Desert Breeze Park in the Acacia Pavilion (map). Bring a lunch and enjoy an afternoon at the park with Dayspring Friends. There will be a baked goods competition and children and adults are encouraged to bring their best home-baked treats for everyone to enjoy. We will also have tug of war, potato sack races, kickball, and much more fun!

A memorial service for Doug Trimble will be held next Saturday, January 28, at 11:00am in the Tempe Sanctuary. Please keep his wife Virginia, his family, and friends in your prayers during this difficult time. The service will be livestreamed HERE.

We host Family Promise the week of January 29. Volunteers are needed for set up, tear down, meal preparation, entertainment, and overnight hosts - especially over Tuesday and Friday nights. Scout Troop 172 will host a pancake breakfast on February 5. They’ll be serving pancakes and sausage (with syrup and butter) from 8:15-10:30. Donations support the scouts going to Summer Camp this year.

Are you new to Dayspring UMC or have you been attending for a while and are interested to know more about the church and what is involved in membership? We invite you to attend a one-hour session with Pastor Jeff to learn more about the United Methodist church and Dayspring specifically, on Sunday, February 12 at 11:45am. Medical and dental teams are excited to return to Tochimizolco, Puebla, Mexico for the first time since April 2019! The Methodist Church of Mexico, together with Dayspring and Grace UMC in Olathe, KS, provide a year-round Clinic for medical and dental needs at very low cost. Our Medical team from the two churches in the US provide free care to around 500 people for medical care and another 300 visits each for dental care and optical exams. Medicine is also provided free of charge. You are an important part of this medical/dental team by supporting with prayers as well as finances. 

If you are willing to support the team with prayers and a donation, please see the instructions below. Our team is primarily self funded. The cost of trip is approximately $1500 per person including airfare. Since we've been gone so long, the clinic needs to be almost completely replenished with supplies. The annual team expenses include $1700 for medications and basic medical equipment and supplies. 

Members of the Tochi team will have a table on the patio for the next couple Sundays. Stop by between services to learn more about the mission and meet some of the team members. We welcome donations. Questions may be directed to Amy Lou Simminger or Bev Muller.
