MJAR Presents Local Veteran Nonprofit with Donation


Thanks to MJAR's 2024 Community Service Committee for their fundraising efforts of $250 that was presented to TTA Empire Founder and CEO Timothy Awojobi. TTA Empire is a veteran- and minority-owned nonprofit supporting veterans and their families by providing scholarships, funding for housing assistance/relocation, community resources and various other valuable programs. Reminder Completion of Continuing Education (CE) Credits are Due by

April 30, 2025 to Avoid a Late Fee


The NJ Real Estate Commission (REC) requires licensees to complete 12 continuing education credits every two years.



Important dates for license renewal:

  • April 30: CE credits must be completed to avoid a $200 late fee from the NJ Real Estate Commission
  • May 1 - June 30: Licensees may submit CE credits, but are subject to a $200 late fee


The 12 CE credit hours include the following:

  • Two hours must be completed in the ethics topic area
  • One hour must be completed in the fair housing topic area
  • One course must be completed in the agency topic area
  • The remaining credits may be completed in core, ethics, fair housing, or elective topics

REALTOR® Confidence Index - December


The Confidence Index continues to increase in optimism for buyers and sellers. First-time buyers are up, a common trend in Fall/Winter.

  • 27% of respondents expect a year-over-year increase in buyer traffic in the next three months, an increase from 24% one month ago but down from 33% one year ago.
  • 27% of respondents expect a year-over-year increase in seller traffic in the next three months, an increase from 22% one month ago and up from 25% one year ago.

2025 Scholarship Application Open


Applicants must be a member or a relative of a member of New Jersey REALTORS® to apply. In 2024, the Foundation awarded $60,700 to students attending both community college and undergraduate degree programs. The deadline to submit a scholarship application is March 13, 2025, at 5 PM. No exceptions. Apply now here.

New Fair Housing &

Anti-Bias Training Membership Requirement


Deadline to Complete: December 31, 2027


REALTORS® are required to complete Fair Housing / Anti-Bias Training upon becoming a REALTOR® member and every 3 years thereafter, coinciding with the Code of Ethics training timeline. This requirement is in addition to the Code of Ethics training. Qualified training must be of not less than 2 hours of instructional time. This requirement will begin January 1, 2025, with a deadline of December 31, 2027. View FAQs here.

Training may be completed through NAR’s online courses or through another method, such as online or classroom courses via local/state associations. Read the consequences for failing to complete Fair Housing / Anti-Bias training here.
