Happy New Year!

January Meeting

Chair Sam Fisher will be joining us to talk about what is happening at the Lee County School District. With a new conservative majority, learn about what they have gotten done, what is in the works, and what is still on the road map to create an education system that empowers students with the fundamentals instead of indoctrinating them with leftist ideology.

From Sam:

I have just completed my first year as a school board member and collectively one year together for this school board. Reflecting on the past 12 months, we have confronted challenges from Hurricane Ian, managed rapid growth, and navigated daily challenges. Previously, I discussed our first 100 days together. Now, I present to you a recap of the year and a look ahead to the future.

Save The Hope Scholarship Petition

Florida House Representative Josie Tomkow (R) has filed a bill (HB 1403) that would eliminate the Hope Scholarship.

Last year, the Hope Scholarship helped over 500 children get out of unsafe learning environments and gain access to a different school that better suited them.

The scholarship is a victim's bill that provides students who have been bullied, intimidated, or harassed by anyone on school property the ability to attend a private school of their choice.

Please sign the petition to support the continuation of the Hope Scholarship by clicking on the link below.

VENUE CLARIFICATION

There seems to be some confusion over ordering food and use of credit cards at our new Cape Cabaret venue, for which our gracious owner and host, Joel Notes, extends his sincere apologies. Joel has worked with us in every way possible to make sure this venue is a great experience for all of us, for which we owe him a great deal of gratitude. Because we are a private party:

1) There is NO $10 minimum food order required.

2) There are NO credit card restrictions whatsoever.
