REMS TA Center Releases New Online Class on the Incident Command System

The Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools (REMS) Technical Assistance (TA) Center has released a new online class, Implementing the Incident Command System (ISC) for Schools. According to the REMS TA Center, "This course has been developed to help practitioners understand how the 14 characteristics of the National Incident Management System’s Incident Command System (ICS) can augment existing emergency operations plans. Learn how ICS principles and characteristics can help you create and communicate Incident Action Plans, work more efficiently with community partners during emergencies, and organize your school’s emergency resources more effectively." ROE 48 to Hold K-12 Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management Train-the-Trainer Class at Joliet Jr. College Feb. 13-14th

Regional Office of Education 48 is holding a K-12 Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management Train-the-Trainer class, featuring Dr. Gene Deisinger, Feb. 13-14th at Joliet Jr. College. Campus Threat Assessment and Management January 30-31st in Ullin, IL

The Illinois School and Campus Safety Program is pleased to announce the class Campus Threat Assessment and Management will be held January 30-31, 2025, in Ullin, IL.

This two-day workshop for institutions of higher education will help participants to better understand the dynamics of targeted violence and to develop and enhance strategies for early identification, assessment, and intervention with concerning situations.
